As a frequent traveler and someone deeply versed in authentic Thai culinary traditions, I have high standards for “home-style” cooking. Kub Kao Thai & Sushi absolutely delivers. This isn’t your average Westernized Thai spot; the depth of flavor here is on par with what you’d find in a traditional kitchen.
The Highlights:
The Main Course: The savory dishes were exceptionally tasty—perfectly balanced heat, acidity, and umami. You can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients.
The Standout Dessert: The Green Tea Cheesecake paired with Green Tea Ice Cream was the star of the show. It was rich, creamy, and carried that distinct, earthy matcha profile without being overly sweet. The presentation was also quite artful (as you can see in my photo).
Service: The staff was attentive, professional, and added to the overall positive energy of the evening.
The Atmosphere:
The interior has a modern, clean aesthetic with great lighting—perfect for capturing high-quality food photography. It’s a sophisticated yet welcoming environment for a meaningful conversation over a great meal.
If you’re looking for a pescatarian-friendly menu that doesn’t sacrifice authenticity for convenience, this is a must-visit in the area. I’ll certainly be returning.

It’s very hard to find solid Asian food in south Florida but this place is really good. So many options for everyone and the food both Thai and sushi were really good quality. In particular the sushi boat we all really enjoyed the fish quality. I definitely would come back for another round of food here

I have been a couple of times and it has been consistently good. I usually have the lunch special that comes with salad or soup and spring roll. Hereby 3 pics of different plates we ordered. Other friends in the past spoke highly of their sushi and sashimi also. The vegetables are fresh and crisp and the amount of chosen protein is more than similar places I have been. I recommend it, and is perfect when you have guests to invite them without breaking the bank.

One of the best Thai restaurants in the area! As a Thai, I highly recommend this place. It’s my go-to spot. The food is impressively authentic, and you can even request true Thai-level spiciness if you prefer. The sushi is also fresh and delicious. What I like most is that the portions are generous compared to the price—it’s a really great deal! The restaurant is spotless, the service is top-notch, the parking is easy, and the chef-owner is always friendly, welcoming, and open to feedback.

We went for an early dinner, around 4:30 PM. It wasn’t very busy (4 other tables of customers). We were greated and told to sit anywhere and were immediately provided with menu’s and asked for our drink order. From there, the service was very poor and slow. We received our meals about 30 mins after ordering. The food was good, not great. With so many other good Thai and sushi restaurants around, we will probably not be back.

The most bland Thai food I have ever tasted. Very disappointed. Pictured is pad Thai which looks promising but was lacking all the flavor. The other dish is basil chicken that tasted as bland as that chicken looks. Both dishes 1/5⭐️ The food was so bad/ bland that I don’t even believe all their good reviews are real. I have multiple thai reviews on my page, please take a look for other suggestions.

We’re so glad we discovered this place. It’s by far the best Thai food I’ve had. The volcano sauce is insane. The portions are generous. The deserts are crazy good. We’ll be back with friends and family.
