Food is more authentic than some other thai restaurants in the area, and a bit less expensive.
Or so it seems.

You pay when you order, just like in McDonald’s. But instead of a simple tap-and-pay with your credit / bank card, you have to first choose one of the pre-set amounts of tips. Why tipping? You collect the food yourselves, like in McDonald’s. But do you pay tips at McDonald’s?

After choosing the tipping amount, the card machine asks you to confirm an additional fee (2-3%) for card payment. I pay with my local German Mastercard in supermarkets, restaurants, etc, but never have to pay any additional fees for card payment.

That’s ridiculous. So, I paid in cash instead.

I hope the owner can align the card payment process with standard practice in Germany.

Fairly priced but not so close to authentic Thai food especially the papaya salad. Thought they may adjust the recipe to match the locals’ tastes. The service was quick tho.

Ordered the Kao Pad Ki Mao. The rice were very well coated with the soy sauce and the other sauces, the chicken was fresh and we’ll cooked as well, the salad was fresh as well. It was very spicy, which I liked. Other details included peppercorns, which also enhanced the flavour. Good job overall.

Probably one of the few authentic Thai places in Cologne. Spicy done right! Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to scratch that itch. The staff was friendly and they have English menus, if you need them. They’ve got outdoor and indoor seating and a good range of drinks to choose from. Cash only though.

Delicious Thai food for an affordable price. The portions are big and the level of spiciness is just perfect!

Unfriendly staff and bad food.
Pad Thai I ordered was too bland and not fried enough. It was rather wet.
The lady at the cashier pretty much threw the guest pager with an attitude. Not coming back.
