Reviews
1) Buzzer at the table was a cool old school touch for ordering drinks and foods
2) Across from Lambeau Field
3) Cool wall with signatures from Greenbay Packers players
CONS
1) Ordered starters on the menu and received them with the meal. When I mentioned something, I was told that I should have specified this while ordering. I thought that was a bit odd, considering that the food (chilies and wings) was under the starters section, which one would assume that is an app and would come out before the meals
2) Requested for my curds to be fresh with the entre and then the curds came out way before the meal. Also..odd.
3) Check was dropped off when entres were dropped off, felt very rushed. We ordered an additional chili after our meal and they had to re print out the receipt. Which again, why is it coming out so soon?
4) Waited over 8 minutes for someone to check us out at the front for our bill. All servers were sitting in the front eating. No one was paying attention
5) Refills were never given, had to ask for them.
6) Prices were a bit steep. Bowl of chili was $9.
7) Bathroom smelt like urine pretty bad
8) Bread for the burger seemed old and dried (could be because it was toasted). It was very hard.
ONE and DONE. Will not recommend.
We ordered 2 Perch dinners (23.00 each) a burger and chicken sandwich. 75 bucks. I was stunned by what we got. Perch were 2 inch long at best. I would be embarrassed to serve that to a customer. As proof I have a fork and my finger for scale.

Service was also quite disorganized. The servers seemed unsure where dishes were supposed to go and brought food to the wrong tables multiple times before it finally reached the right one. It created a lot of confusion and made the dining experience feel chaotic.
The building itself could really use some updates as well. The decor feels outdated and worn, which adds to the overall impression that the restaurant hasn’t been refreshed in a long time.
One simple improvement would be serving fresh-brewed iced tea instead of premade tea, which would at least add a touch of freshness to the menu.
I know Kroll’s has been a well-known restaurant in the Green Bay community for many years, but being located so close to the Packer stadium means expectations are high. Visitors and locals alike deserve better quality, better organization, and a more updated dining experience.
Overall, the experience felt below expectations, and I hope they make improvements to both the food quality and the service.
The service here was very inattentive from the minute we stepped in the door which was around 7pm on a Sunday. Nobody greeted us until a little after we sat ourselves at the counter by the kitchen. Our server came and asked for drinks right away and asked about starters which was fine. After our starter came out and our meal was ordered that server never came back to us again. A different server brought us our meal while our original server went and sat at the next counter clearly taking their break (which we do understand that servers need breaks, that wasn’t the problem at all).
Once our meals were given to us that was the last interaction we had with any staff member until we went to the front to pay. Nobody ever came to check in with us even though other tables around us were being checked in with, we ended up grabbing to go boxes ourselves and heading up to the front to pay without any indication if that was the correct procedure.
If it was made clear somewhere that we would be responsible for getting our own boxes and that we needed to pay up front it would have been a better experience. As it was we spent almost half an hour after we were done eating watching staff members come and go past us with nobody checking in. Not to mention that when our original server was done with his break he disappeared into the back to not be seen by us again.
It was an okay experience; we’re willing to give it another try sometime, maybe more at a peak time to see if we just got bad luck. But it’s not something we will be going out of our way for.
Within 15 to 20 minutes of walking in, I already had my food. The process was quick and smooth. You seat yourself and use the button on the wall to get service, which I thought was a fun old-school touch. The staff was friendly and the western-style interior gave it a cozy vibe.
The location is also iconic, sitting right across from Lambeau Field, which made the visit even cooler as I passed through Green Bay.
For about $16, I got a phenomenal double cheeseburger, butter burger style, and it absolutely hit the spot. Overall, a great experience and worth the stop.
