A fantastic greasy spoon diner. They have amazing soup and sandwiches, among a full menu. Also, they have a button in your booth that you push for service, a quirky and unique thing.

Normally this place is good but this time the bun was hard as a rock and everything tasted terrible! I probably will not return. I’ve had better food from gas stations

Food is ok and service is terrible, that is why they make you pay when you get your food because that is the last time they talk to you even if you sit at the bar

It was an absolute party. The game day experience there is unmatched. Everyone was having a good time and being friendly.

This place came recommended from my boss who is from this area. Let me say on a Saturday night with the Badger game going on I was expecting a crowd… and there was next to no one there! Where yall at?

Service was great, very Midwest and very friendly. Waiter did a wonderful job explaining everything and the food was wonderful. We were on our way back from checking out the fall colors in door county and Krolls East really hit the spot. Thank you!

How can you not love Kroll’s East? (not affiliated with Kroll’s West)
Food is good, but when you take into account the price, the food goes from good to great. Service is good, you press the doorbell and someone is there shortly.
Make sure to get chili and carrot cake, you will not regret either. Also, bathrooms are a great place to snap a quick mirror selfie.
Thanks for having us!

Used to be so good- consistently. Now it is hit or miss. Overpriced, especially sides. Portion sizes are inconsistent. When it’s good- it’s great. When not- so bad. This last time will more than likely be THE last time. Bland burgers. Soggy seaburgers that were flavorless. Burnt mushrooms that weren’t fully battered and a much smaller size than a family $8 side (we’ve ordered small orders bigger and better before) should be. Mushy noodles in the chili that disintegrated. The only good part of our meal was the fries, and the small sized fries were way bigger than a family sized mushrooms and didn’t taste like old, burnt oil like the mushrooms and seaburgers. It’s a shame. This place is iconic to all that makes the east side a hidden gem. Unfortunately, they are not living up to their legacy lately.

Kroll’s East is a bit of a time capsule that has multiple dining spaces with limitless seating. It is undoubtedly a neighborhood institution that all of the locals know about. The burgers have thin old timey 1/4 pound patties, that are still juicy somehow and have a bit of char flavor. They come wrapped, so they don’t photograph very well, but it’s obvious that they are melded together with buttery goodness. They are all cooked to medium doneness due to their slim profile. We really enjoyed the garlic cheese curd cubes. Get the larger portion for sure. The fries are big and crispy coated as are the homemade onion rings. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every table booth has a button to press when you are ready to order. It’s kind of like drive in food, more than it is bar food, but there is a super cool, semi deco, bar dining area with a full bar too. The place could use some freshening up, I guess, but the booths and throw back elements are totally awesome. They have a big drive up business on one side, but to dine in, go around to the back entrance door.

I love this place and not just because I’ve been going here my whole life. The butter burgers are like nothing else. The chicken dumpling soup is sublime. Cheese curds and onion rings. Chocolate malt. Point Amber. Perch. Chili with spaghetti. It has all the things.

We got a burger, a chicken sandwich, cheese curds, dumpling soup and chilli. Everything was way over salted. I like more salt than most people, so if it was salty to me, then it was very salty. However, the chilli needed more salt. It was very flat tasting. Also, they left the lettuce off my chicken sandwich, which supposedly automatically comes on it, according to their menu. This was $56 dollars of food, most of which we could not eat. Very disappoined!
