The Good Stuff. My family tried this place because of various food cravings. I must say the quality of the food varied wildly. The chicken, biscuits and shrimp were as good as advertised, and satisfied our cravings for those.
The mashed potatoes were your standard boxed type potatoes – neither good nor bad. We wanted to try the Potato Salad, but it did not get included in our order (we did get a refund for that.)
Now on to the bad stuff. The pizza was dry, way overbaked and about as chewy as the box it came it. You could use it to make houses (we did). The “F’Real Milkshakes” are actually false advertising. They are premade frozen smoothies with a very artificial flavor – no milk in them at all. These should be relabeled since they are fraudulently described. The Peach Cobbler – it was the greasy, gelatinous, doughy blob in a cup – completely inedible. The slice of cheesecake we were given instead of carrot cake had a thick black hair stuck in it, ewwww.

Definitely Krispy Krunchy Chicken, just not much seasonings for being Cajun. Some other reviewers of KKC have said it’s salty but I didn’t think so, just a bit bland. The blueberry biscuits definitely are way tastier than the bland plain honey butter biscuits, seemed very much baking powder biscuits. But one blueberry biscuit was falling apart and almost gooey in texture and the other one was overcooked or had sat too long under heat lamps and crispy almost cookie-like. I ordered the red beans and rice side. Nothing to rave about, just seemed like liquid smoke for flavoring. I must try jambalaya and mac & cheese sides next. Since Church’s Chicken is far and few nowadays, KKC is definitely a good alternative. I definitely liked the Krispy, fresh and hot chicken!

Not packaged properly. All of the chicken dropped instantly the moment I pulled it out of the bag. Chicken a tad bit too salty than the other locations, but that’s probably just me. Yeah service was trash, dude said 15 minutes and when I gave them a 5 minute grace window and when I walked in, they said 5 more minutes. Ended up waiting for 35 total and almost lost my patience. I’ve given this store many chances in the past before I wrote this review. Just hope anybody doesn’t have to come here again and make this their last option.

The chicken taste good. I prefer the Krispy Krunchy Chicken on Winton n Hesperian over this one only because its more fast pace so the chicken doesn’t sit more then 5 mins. The chicken still had the same great taste but not as hot or fresh. They do have a cool smoothy machine I have never seen before.

I decided to get Krispy Krunchy chicken with a friend who has never had it, when we entered the facility, the gentleman behind the counter was texting or browsing on something on his phone, after a few seconds of watching him while we are trying to figure out what we want to eat, we see him touch his nose, after touching his nose, he was on his phone again, right before the food was ready to be taken out of the fryer he touches his hair and rubs his face and then picks up the food basket. I’m not trying to be a difficult person but I wouldn’t want to eat at a place when someone is operating like that right in your face, we left and went to another location.

My last visit was the worst. I bought a 4 piece Krunch Box,I ate 3 out of 4. The next day when I took a bite something didn’t seem right. I took a closer look only to find that therein was a red substance on the inside., it was blood. I returned the following day and told management and they said they couldn’t do anything because I left the site. This is not a sit down restaurant it’s made for take out. I left and filed a complaint with the Health Department .

I live in San Jose, but I drive all the way to this location because they are the best in the business. I know it’s a franchise, but for some reason the chicken taste a lot better here.
Every time I go over there, everyone greets me like they know me, even though I don’t recognize anybody. Also, the fact that they serve pizza now makes it that much better.

Staff was kind at first until i saw they could have offered a different option to save quite a bit of money, I addressed it and they got very defensive. But it is what it is right. The chicken was fresh but the wedges and Mac and cheese were barely room temp after waiting 20 mins for FRESH FOOD.

Parking is ok, never really crowded anyways. I love the chicken for sure and I only just recently tried the biscuits which come in honey butter and blueberry, the second of which is my favorite. It’s take out only but it’s worth the wait. I definitely wanna come back to try other items. Prices are reasonable.

My friend and I ran across this place. We normally go to the one in Alameda. The blueberry biscuits are the bomb. The empanada- well .. try it and then post how you like it. Sometime you have to try something just once to know if you really like it. At least i was open to trying. The service was not stellar rather as a customer for the first time I felt unappreciated but maybe as employees they feel the same way too? It is what it is
