I’ve been to plenty of bars and restaurants, but I’ve never met a bartender quite like Madelyn at Kramer’s. She’s not just good at her job. She’s the best. From the moment you sit down, her warm smile and genuine sweetness make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit.
Madelyn is incredibly attentive without ever hovering. She remembers your order, checks in at just the right moments, and pours with precision and care. Her cocktails are flawless, but it’s her kindness that stands out most.
On one visit, my child was overwhelmed by the menu and starting to melt down. Without missing a beat, Madelyn knelt down to their level, patiently walked them through a few kid-friendly options, and even drew a little smiley face on the napkin with crayon suggestions. My kid left beaming, and so did I.
Kramer’s is lucky to have her. If you want a drink made with skill and served with soul, ask for Madelyn. She’s the reason we keep coming back.

Oh for the good Ol’ days. I can’t believe they painted over those beautiful maple coolers. THAT in and of itself is a travesty. And to add insult to injury, they painted them BLACK! Place feels like a dungeon. Its totally lost its neighborhood atmosphere and cozy feeling that I grew up with. Fountain soda machine?! Just like Taco Bell. I’ll never go back. I’ll just keep my memories of a place I frequently went in my youth. Sad seeing a South Dayton/Oakwood icon go down a dark path.

Awful pizza experience. This used to be my husband’s favorite pizza spot but the last few times of getting it has been a major disappointment.
We ordered a supreme to go and we should have known right away it wasn’t right. It was incredibly veggies & cheese heavy with barely any pepperoni or sausage. Several slices had no sausage & when we did find it, it was the tiniest pieces possible. Pepperoni was super thin too. There was so seasoning on top or on bottom (a Kramer’s staple previously). The last several pizzas we have gotten have been bland, heavy on cheap ingredients, & incredibly disappointing.
Another Dayton staple dead in the water.

We arrived at 6:30, and ordered our pizza with drinks. By 7:30 asked where our pizza was and we were told 5-10 minutes. At 8:30 asked again and they said your pizza was “lost” it would be 5-10 minutes. By 9:30 we left with our pizza in a box.

Finally a place with decent food for a decent price. Is it ground breaking? No. But, it tastes good and it’s not expensive. Very friendly vibe to the place, bartenders are chill. Very small town diner/bar kind of feel

Honestly probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It completely falls apart and the service was awful the bartender rolled his eyes and yelled about how awful it is to make a lemon drop and I will absolutely never be back.

Came here to get cheeseburger. They ran out! What the heck! Settled for pizza. Should have just went someplace else. If you’re somebody who likes Chicago Pizza you’re not going to enjoy it.

“Home of the 40”. Friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely a regulars crowd. Tried the wings. No complaints for $6. All bottles and cans, no draft.
