If I could leave this place 6 stars I would! This is the best coffee shop I have ever been to. The staff are beyond friendly and they make the best matcha and chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. I am not local, but everytime I go to Kingsland to visit family I make sure to make a stop in St. Mary’s to get my go to order.

Located in the downtown historical district, with beautiful old oak and pecan trees, spanish moss draping beautifully and gorgeous views of many marshlands and the river.
St. Mary’s is one of the oldest towns in Georgia and the only access to Cumberland Island via ferry is right down the block. A couple of very interesting museums right around the corner as well.

My favorite coffee house! Love coming here and trying the monthly specials. Cozy environment, quick service, and friendly baristas. Coffee is excellent. The food is delicious too, there’s always a great selection of breakfast foods and baked goods in the display. The menu offers good gluten free options. Highly recommend.

If you do not know Mrs.Amy in the kitchen you are missing out! She puts her all in her baking and all the food she works so hard to create for The Kraken. ❤️ The way she puts such a smile on my kiddos faces makes me love coming to the shop even more. I would definitely not be as willing to come to The Kraken without her there because she truly understands how to make customers feel welcome and her food is amazing so you get a double win.

We found this little gem one day while visiting the St Mary’s waterfront. This is such a cute place! The coffee is excellent and the pastry selection! Oh my!!! There are some cozy chairs in the front nook as you walk in, and there are also long tables for larger groups. The atmosphere is absolutely charming! Please stop in here for coffee or dessert (or both) while visiting this cute area. You’ll be glad you did!
