I got a krabby daddy plate ($30) $5 more than they used to be. It came with fries because they were out of potatos i asked for extra cajun butter and they didnt even give me one, they also didnt cover it in cajun butter after they cooked it so it came dry. Ine of my clusters came with 2 legs and the other 2.5 not to mention i didnt get any claws.

Sharing an experience I recently had at this restaurant. I chose this restaurant as I have many food allergies. Given the name…. I felt this restaurant would be a safer option as I have no allergy to crab meat. That is…real crab meat. Here’s the two big issues I had. First off the crab clusters. Yes I know they are snow and I know they are small, which is fine. With the exception that they only provide you crab crackers to use. Given how small and slim the crab clusters are. It is nearly impossible to eat without the use of. Seafood forks or picks: Slim, pointed tools used to extract meat from narrow legs and joints. Is this really too much to ask for a restaurant that is named after crabmeat to provide the proper utensils to eat them with? The lady working whom I ask about it just replied to use my fork. A fork does not at all enable you to go down the longer narrow, slim crab leg, and pull meat out. The second issue I had with my visit is with the crabcake. Shortly after eating it I felt my allergic reaction starting. I went to the lady working there and ask if the meat in the crabcake was real crab. She quickly replied that no, it is imitation crab. Who would’ve thought that again, a restaurant named after crab meat, would serve an appetizer that is made with imitation meat. In my opinion, either make it with a real crab meat or leave it off the menu. Shrimp, potatoes and corn was very good. I’m just glad I ate them before. I had the fake crabcake that caused my throat to swell, make me vomit and have continued G.I. side effects for the next 12 hours.

So you’re elbow, deep in butter, do you think those napkins are gonna come and save you? You need a shower not a napkin. Welcome to Krabby Daddy’s. This is not a white tablecloth situation. This is a move your phone Cletus because butter is gonna get on your screen. All the crustaceans are quite delicious so dig in and go for it. I want to warn you. This is not a clean eating process. You are still going to be digging crab meat out from underneath your fingernails next week. This is part of the charm. But she is #StLouispescatarianapproved though and that is all that matters. Consider the extra butter good service.

Initial reviews of crabby daddy eatery
Small parking lot, but definitely do-able in a big truck.
Very unique atmosphere, kind of a postmodern look

I was offered a free sample of gumbo to try
I will say that is some of the best gumbo i’ve ever had. It’s gonna slight little kick to it, but nothing you can’t handle. Definitely worth, turn on my large bowl a bit.

I ended up getting the shrimp special
As a very good flavor profile
The corn the brat, the potatoes all very delicious. Although I’m not really a fan of the whole smashed potato but still tasted delicious.

Definitely The catfish is truly amazing.
And there was more than enough food.
Have I couldn’t even finish it all
The staff was absolutely great very welcoming

3 (2 adults & 1 child) of us ate w/ drinks for around $50.⁰⁰. The catfish was perfect as were the french fries, corn, potatoes & sausage. The crab leg cluster was only half warm; a few of my legs were probably still frozen, . The egg was over cooked & pretty rubbery. Overall, we will go back but probably only order what we know is good & cooked.

Used to be great, now i feel like it’s all ran by younger kids who do not care about anything. Flavor was there but food came out cold and just felt like low quality compared to how they were in the past years. Everything kind of tasted like it had been frozen. For $120 we could make double at home!! Didn’t help that the customer service was nonexistent and the place was gross (food all over the ground and everything sticky to the touch).
Also the menu price and the actual price on the receipt were different prices. Higher of course.

Easy to find, parking lot was a little cramped. Super clean inside. Immediately welcomed /greeted. First time – employee explained stuff and gave us menus to look over . The menu is also posted above counter we just wanted more time to decide. Very generous portions- the family style meals looked fun but we are each too picky. The all you can eat catfish was amazing. Not just for “fast food” catfish -it was just good. Chicken strips were very good too. Fries have a seasoning on them that’s a little peppery so beware if you don’t like pepper. Funnel cake dessert was good but seemed small compared to other portions. Overall good experience and we would return

I ordered my food online, went in to pick it up at the time they said it would be ready, only to be told that they were out of potatoes. I was given the choice of an extra sides so I said I’ll take an extra sausage and an extra corn. I then had to wait an additional 22 minutes after the time my food was supposed to be ready. I didn’t end up getting my extra corn, the shrimp I had were not the same as the last time I ordered this (they were much smaller than I remember) and the sausage was barely warm. I had also ordered and paid for an extra order of potatoes but since they were out, I thought I’d get refunded for those but they said they couldn’t refund me and that I’d have to go through the site I placed the order from. I was very disappointed this time. I did not see any managers there, the young girls working were completely swamped.

The food was great. First time here. The boy at the front register was not great. No clean tables, everyone coming in had to ask for him to clean their table. No silverware, had to ask, he forgot, then he only brought out crab crackers for us- no forks. Our table number was filthy he handed us, not a little dirty- covered in food. He acted miserable and annoyed to serve anyone. Even the back kitchen staff were annoyed with him. Sorry guys! But that kid needs a job he can be lazy at…. We will be back either way.

Krabby Daddy’s used to be a go-to spot, but lately it’s been hit or miss. We’ve gone specifically for the all-you-can-eat crab and been told it was already unavailable, which is frustrating when it’s a main draw.

The staff has been friendly and doing their best — this feels more like an ownership or management issue around planning and pricing. The other menu options are pricey for what you get, and the experience just doesn’t quite match the cost anymore. Hopefully it improves, because it used to be great
