This is inside the New Haven food hall, there’s lots of available seating and is very bright and clean! I walked about 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready.
The Lao BBQ Mix plate has a whole variety of all the meat available, so you get to try a little bit of everything. The chicken breast was sweet, tender, and juicy. The huge spare rib ripped off the bone so easily, my favorite protein here! The short rib was perfectly seasoned. And the sausage was amazing and filled with so much goodness!
For the sides, you can choose steamed rice or sticky rice – or add fried rice for an extra dollar. For the salad, there’s a regular garden salad – or you can get papaya salad for an extra $10. I highly recommend getting the papaya salad if you’re sharing with friends or family. It’s my absolute favorite Asian salad!

I wish I could leave a better review, but I unfortunately found a hair in my food, which left me unable to finish the meal.
The lady working the register was very friendly and made some great recommendations.
I tried the Lao BBQ Mix Plate and a Thai Iced Tea.
The Thai iced tea was very good. I’d give it a 4/5.
The BBQ was a good amount of food and looked very good. The issue was that I found a hair wrapped around the sausage, which kept me from finishing the food.

Salty Sauce
Was looking for something spicy. Stumbled upon this hidden gem tucked in the back of a big parking lot right off the freeway.
Right away, I noticed how bright and clean the front was which is a good sign. Immediately after entering I was greeted by a big smile and a friendly ‘hello.’ The menu is simple and easy to read but the girl still offered a recommendation which I really like when they do that. And it was a great one.
The combo plate has short ribs, chicken, sausage, and a pork rib with rice and a side salad. Very reasonably priced especially for the quality. There are very few Laotian places I know of and even those are not as authentic and tasty as this one. The girl was very helpful as she offered side sauces which I devoured. This not only hit the spot but it tickled it and told funny jokes afterwards. Perfect.
I will definitely return. I gotta try the papaya salad. I have no doubt it is excellent.

Absolutely love this place. Excellent BBQ and the sides are amazing. It’s the Laotian restaurant in the IE and a lever BBQ joint. Lots of parking and conviniently right off the freeway. Staff is super friendly and service is excellent. Try all the different sauces they have. And get the Lao tea! Like Thai tea but better!
Pork sausage is made in house and is really good as are the beef jerky (goes great with the fries rice).

Today my hubby and I tried Kra Z Kai’s BBQ and we were pleasantly surprised about how good and fresh the food is! Everything tasted great! I ordered the chicken and it was awesome! So juicy! The sauce that the give to go with the chicken is also so yummy & it goes great with the chicken! My hubby ordered the combo plate that comes with the Chicken, Beef, a Rib not sure if it’s pork out beef and a sausage link! I forgot to say that their papaya salad is also yummy!! He also ordered the beef jerky! OMG was that yummy!!
Their plates also comes with your choice of rice! They have all kinds of rice!! Fried rice, Brown rice White rice! Lol.

But considering what’s happening in the world nowadays and the rationing of food It’s kind of understandable!! The food & service was definitely worth it! It’s okay. All American workers thou. About 15mins wait. $20 for the combo. It’s a bit pricey. While eating there, at least 5 cough and 2 sneeze from the workers, they don’t wear masks too… hopefully me or no one get sick from eating there tonight.

Went there again for the free chicken plate thru messenger. The cashier help walk me thru it. Fast and simple. Love the chicken thigh skins, crispy and flavorful. Would be nice if they can sub rice with small salad. Worker yell my name pretty loud when I just sit 10 ft away lolz. Really enjoyed it this time. Upgraded to 4s

One of the best Asian style Bbq place i have eaten. Order mixed bbq plate today and we are hooked, especially chicken and ribs! Kid loves it. Located in rodeox and they are not busy during lunch. Great place to have a nice peaceful lunch with great quality food.

I came here with my friends after playing golf in the area. This is one of the vendors located in a food court. Some of my friends recommended this place. I ordered the chicken combination with fried rice. They also offered check-in in Yelp for a free Thai ice tea or fountain drinks. I chose Thai ice tea. The Thai-ice tea was a bit watery and it had too much milk in it. It would be better if the tea base is stronger. The chicken was amazing. The chicken skin was crispy, and it was gazed with honey on top. It has a bit of sweetness. The chicken was very tender and the bone fell off the meat. My mouth is watering when writing this review. Staff was friendly, and service was pretty fast with a little room for improvement. I will come back again.
