Really good home cooked food. Very nice courteous service that is reasonably priced. Recommended.
1- I ordered chicken fajitas. The menu said it came with salsa, sour cream and Guacamole. This option is only available Fridays and Saturdays… yaye me! I thought. WRONG. When my order came in, it was a bunch of sliced peppers and red onions mixed in with velveeta cheese with 3 small 2cm slices of chicken half cooked. No salsa, sour cream or Guacamole. 2 small containers of dried up shredded marble cheese (like it needed any more really ). At that point, I needed flavor..I had to walk at the bar near the kitchen to ask her for salsa sour cream and Guacamole because we weren’t being checked on AT ALL. She still had the child on her hip (cute..but inappropriate in the bar/pub setting) and she looked at me puzzled when I informed her my meal should have came with. She hands me a sauce cup of what looks to be rib sauce vinaigrette, a sour cream container out of a cabinet (not refrigerated) and tells me they don’t have Guacamole. Fine I thought… as I took the sauce container and sour cream. At my table, I had a 6th sense to smell the sour cream since the container was warm..GOOD THING!! IT WAS RANCID! I put it aside and let her know when I flagged her down as she just brought menus to others. She brought me a cool one shortly after. I ate maybe 25% of my meal and decided my health was worth more.
2- My spouse asked for a ribeye (well done) with taters and a tossed salad. He got a charred meat patty with 1cm thick half cooked unseasoned slices of potatoes, a tossed salad with no dressing. He forced himself to finish the charred steak (at that price you would too!!) But let the salad sit there along with 2 thirds of his “taters”. Horrible.
3- Our friends who WERE regular patrons, both took steaks. His looked like a bavette, wanted it medium and came as well done. Hers was charred as well. He had to chase the 1 woman there for refills and had his plate swapped twice as a Caesar salad was asked but she brought a garden one. The ranch dressing was warm, had clearly sat there a while because it had stiffened on top.
They left around same time as we did and did not tip either.
We were never asked how our meal was.
When I got home, I puked my Valentine’s day and have now been running to the bathroom. There has to be health code violations there at this point. It’s dirty, unsanitary, not safe to have young children in a commercial kitchen!! What the heck happened!! This place used to be THE PLACE for steak. NEVER AGAIN. It needs an overhaul, a dedicated staff that serves it’s patrons. Owners clearly need childcare.
Here’s a tip because we love newcomers in the area… if you’re going to take over a business that is established, do not expect that it runs itself. Clean the place, revamp what needs to be changed, be polite and attentive with people. Serve quality food that comes from a clean kitchen. DO NOT, reuse old sauces and refrigerate your stuff!! Sour cream on the shelf…common! If you don’t have something on the menu, remove it..better yet, make your own menu. I’d much rather eat Butter chicken made by those who know their stuff than what we got tonight.
There.
75$ later for us, 140$ for our friends. No appetizer, just food and drinks. We skipped the tip.
We recently attempted to visit Kozy at about 9:45PM on a Friday night. The door was locked and they told us they were closed. This happened to a friend the following evening.
Don’t go out of your way to come here, you’ll probably be greeted by a locked door.
