This review is long overdue, but it comes with deep gratitude. While planning my mother’s 60th birthday party from out of state, I had no idea where to start in finding a Chinese restaurant to cater the event. After calling several places in the Kyle area, I found that while they were available, their pricing was far beyond over our budget. Koy was honestly the last call I made on a whim. I left a message, and was soon contacted by Jun.
From the very beginning, Jun’s kindness, professionalism, and clear communication stood out. He offered us an incredible price that not only fit within our budget but also allowed us to provide an even greater variety of food for our guests. Planning such an important event from afar could have been stressful, but Jun went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was seamless. His efforts gave us so much peace of mind.
When I flew in, I even went directly from the airport to the restaurant to make payment, and Jun’s warmth in person matched every interaction we had before. On the day of the event, delivery was right on time, and the food was a highlight of the celebration. Guests couldn’t stop complimenting how delicious everything was, and it truly made my mother’s milestone birthday all the more special.
I am so grateful to Jun and Koy Restaurant for their exceptional service, generosity, and genuine care. They turned what could have been a stressful long-distance arrangement into a wonderful experience, and I will always remember the role they played in making my mother’s birthday unforgettable

Visited on a Wednesday evening with one other person. The restaurant was not busy.
Waiter was prompt and friendly.
Now, the food! My egg roll was pretty good. I ordered the Chicken Two style. The General Tso’s was salty and bland, and the chicken was overcooked. The lemon chicken sauce was served cold. It also was bland.
I asked for a refire on the General Tso’s. I had the Sesame chicken. It was also bland. The fried rice was basically rice with some soy sauce to add color.
My companion has the chicken and snow peas. She said it was also salty and bland.
Price for both dinners with 20% tip was $36.

Man, Kyle is just lacking in top rated food. This was a bit higher rated and I love this style of food, so I hoped it would be good. It really wasn’t great. The server was sweet and prompt, the egg roll was yummy, and the chicken was tender. That’s about it. The “special brown sauce” listed on the menu, which is not a good name at all, was really, really salty. It just overpowered the food and made it overwhelming. The “fried rice” was just rice with soy sauce, and the atmosphere was just basic.

We all liked Koy, no complaints here. The food was good. The flavor of the lo mein sauce was bussin’. The egg rolls were a nice treat . The soup was flavorful. The chicken was crispy and delicious. If you are just passing through this spot will leave you satisfied.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant ( the Kyle, Tx location) for the first time and we absolutely loved it!
Very friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, good service. I had the ” Happy Family” meal, beef, chicken, and vegetables. My husband had the cashew chicken. It all came with fried rice and egg rolls. We also had cucumber sushi rolls, and avocado sushi rolls, both were very delicious.
My appetizer was the eggdrop soup which was the best I’ve ever had!
And, I was also able to order a vodka lemondrop martini, and that was the best. All in all we were very impressed with the restaurant and the quality of food. We will definitely go back in the future.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Wonton and hot&sour soups were great and reasonably priced. The egg roll was one of only a few I’ve ever liked. Beef garlic and beef and scallops had ample portions and both with good flavor. We expected 3 or 4 scallops and were surprised there were 7, and done very well considering they are mixed in with the beef and veggies. The facility is a little fastfood-ish, but clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience.

Walk in at around 7:30pm and noticed it was busy. Ordered Orange Chicken with rice. Order arrived in short time. Dish was good and even though it was busy the waitress kept checking in on me. I did enjoy my meal here.

Koy offers great value for its prices, which are very reasonable compared to other places. While the food may not be the most gourmet, for what you pay, it’s a fantastic deal that easily deserves five stars. The service and atmosphere add to the experience, making it a spot I would highly recommend. Please keep everything as it is, and you’ll continue to have loyal customers like myself!
