Reviews
We did the hibachi meal, and it was very good. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was nice and comfortable.
The chef did an outstanding job of making a meal an evening of fun, & good food, and I highly recommend this restaurant.
I will definitely make a point to stop back in once I come out this way again
Price per person: …
As soon as we saw the dilapidated exterior I thought we should turn around. Then entering the bathroom to wash my hands…It’s not clean. There is toilet paper for paper towel.
We came for sushi and hibachi. When we ordered the sushi and water we figured we would wait to see how that was before ordering more after not being impressed already.
The water here tastes like poison. Seriously chemical disgusting. I took one drink and spit it back into the cup. Bitter…. how are you possibly serving this to people and what is in it to make it taste like that?!
The sushi was not good either. The co-op has better sushi. The shrimp tempura tasted stale.
Our waitress wasn’t great. She never came and asked how anything was or if we were ready to order the hibachi. She also just wasn’t friendly or joyful by any means.
After leaving we went to Ramuntos to finish dining and were met with a very friendly tentative server. Also the water was much better (for tap). This is just down the road so I can’t imagine why the water is so bad at Kouzoku.
Most Asian owned establishments that we patronize are proud business owners. They have integrity, are personable, make good quality food and care about cleanliness. This was not our experience here.
We both felt sick minutes after eating the sushi and tasting that “water”.
The only thing going for this place is the interior woodwork, and aesthetic. It could be a nice establishment if there was a higher level of care.
Habachi Food was very good per my group, They recommend getting the noddles in lue of the rice. NOT GLUTEN FREE that I saw. Sushi was one of the best I’ve had. Cook was great. Short staffed so long wait but who isn’t these days just made a night of it which was my intentions anyways. Had fun over all. But if you ever had a real mai tai or Scorpion bowl before, Avoid these here.
The Kani salad was delicious but tiny. That was not worth the money at all. There either wasn’t desert, or the staff was trying to get rid of us quickly, because she never even asked us if we wanted it. It was a dine-in experience, and we were in and out within 30-35 minutes. Prompt service is one thing; this seemed rushed.
