Straightforward all-you-can-eat restaurant with tabletop grills serving Korean BBQ & side dishes.

The food quality was disappointing — most of the meat had an unpleasant smell. When we brought this up to our server, the response was very unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue, he insisted they are “the No.1 BBQ restaurant in Salt Lake City” and said he had never heard such complaints, which felt dismissive and rude.
We paid to dine here and expected at least basic respect. At checkout, we waited a long time for our server. When we asked another staff member for help, he simply said “I’m not your server” and walked away.
This restaurant seriously needs to improve its service attitude.

I’ve been here over a dozen times, and I’m never disappointed. The flavors are delicious. I really like the KOU pork, and the beef bulgogi. The ribeye is also delicious, but honestly even as much as I love ribeye, I still like the KOU pork better. Also, I really like to pair the meats with their green salad which has a nice light dressing, which is sweet, but light and wet to balance the meats. And the grilled pineapple rings also help balance out the meats, and are very tasty. Service has always been great too. I will be back soon for sure.

Second time coming here for KBBQ and I think this is currently the best place to go if you’re craving AYCE! The flavoring of the meat is the best out of every other spot I have tried so far, the interior was very spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I came with a party of 6 people who could really eat a lot and our server Andy did an amazing job checking in on us routinely even though it was busy! Parties over 5 do have automatic gratuity (20%) but given how many times they have to serve you, I think it’s warranted. Will continue to be the place I recommend 🙂

THE BOSS Shon IS THE KINDEST MOST EFFICIENT AND HARDWORKING MAN. Our order was delivered with efficiency every time we asked for more, Shon smiled and told us about his business and his workers, I can tell he truly cares about each and every one of them. Shon also was humble and working the floor of his own restaurant ensuring the place was being run smoothly. We were 7th in line for the wait but im being so serious when i say we were ALL seated within 5-10 minutes. And the food? Outstanding. The flavors and options were absolutely delicious and they honored the milk allergy of one of our team members and ensured he was safe. THE MOST DELICIOUS WAY TO END A 14 HOUR SHIFT. I 1000/10 recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE that is nearby. (honestly best Korean bbq in utah, we have tried many)

I love eating at Kous haven’t been to this location in a while but went out with coworkers and still hits the spot! The service was good! But we had to wait for a bit to be checked on etc. but the food was good I usually always get the pork belly or thin beef rolls or their short ribs! I recommend those 3!

Meat marinated and tasted amazing. Ghalbi was my favorite. Very busy when I went but got seated very quickly.

10 out of 10 absolutely loved this spot. I feel like it’s pretty hard to find a good Korean barbecue in Utah. They sat us very quickly even though it was busy. The food was exceptional. My favorite was the short rib by far. They switched out our hot plate after cooking bulgogi so we weren’t inhaling smoke the whole time. My favorite place for Korean barbecue.

The only KBBQ place worth going to. They have Terra, soju, ssamjang, lettuce, thick cut pork belly, quality steak, and every other side and meat has been perfection. I’ve never had a bad experience here.
Way better than kpot btw.

Kou absolutely kills it every time we visit. It’s become a Christmas time staple for our family. Food is amazing, I can’t speak highly enough about it, but it’s the wait staff that really makes the experience all that. I’ve not once had a bad experience with the staff here, Intake my family, corporate vendors, corporate trainers, and colleagues here.
If you’ve not had Korean BBQ, don’t be afraid to try new things, you may be surprised – the Bulgogi and garlic pork belly are my go to. The intestines and baby octopus however aren’t for everyone.

Amazing place to eat. I loved the food. If somebody says they complain about the food it is really their own fault because you cook your own food there. That is literally what you do there. Very tasty. Just make sure you come hungry!
