We were staying at a nearby hotel and this seemed like the only place open after 8pm—honestly, no complaints! It was a Friday night, and to our surprise, there was no wait. We grabbed a table on the patio, which had a really nice sunset view.
Our waitress was amazing—super cheerful and friendly (wish I remembered her name!). We ordered beers and a few appetizers to share. The portions were generous—especially the nachos, which we couldn’t even finish.
Food-wise, everything was solid. Nothing fancy, but definitely satisfying after a long day. The place itself feels a bit outdated, but it has a laid-back, local vibe. People were just hanging out, chatting over beer and fries.
Can’t say much about the inside since we stayed on the patio, but overall it was a chill and easy dinner spot.

I love a good dive bar, and this one is a great find with its eclectic decor and the locals that make it a vibrant atmosphere. The food is scratch made and offers a wide variety of bar favorites. The burgers and dips are tasty, as are their signature boneless chicken wings.

Was a great last meal on our last evening in Bozeman. We sat outside and had all kinds of yummy things. Chicken Tenders with cheese fries, the Nachos (this was a medium) and the Buffs. Chicken chunks in freaking awesome sauce. Oh and drinks with ducks.

This is the only bar you’re going to want to go to in the summer. The outdoor bar and dog friendly patio has plenty of shade, and their overhead misters and cold drinks keep you cool on a hot summer day.
Avoid the patty melt, but you definitely have to try one of their massive chicken sandwiches. The staff is very friendly here as well, but they could work on being a little more frequent on checking in on people at the bar. I had to wave down someone quite a few times to get another drink.

I come here solely for the grilled cheese because it is delicious and hits the spot every time (and it’s very affordable)! You can’t beat the food and drink prices here. It’s a dive bar, so expect relaxed service and a dive atmosphere. Great place to grab a drink with co-workers after a long day when you aren’t a high maintenance person. The only bad experience we ever had was on the patio – the waitress forgot to put our order in so it took over an hour and a half to get our food (grilled cheese and a few chicken burgers). However, that was probably just an off night for her and we still come back!

Popped in last night for some live music and McKenna was our waitress. She is adorable and a wonderful waitress. Always on top of everything and never forgot us even though it was busy! Will definitely be back there again.

I highly recommend this restaurants not only for their famous BUFF’s but as well as atmosphere. You are most likely going to find this place busy in the afternoon. I like to go when they first open or for lunch. It’s a little less quiet and the staff is more attentive.
