One of my favorite restaurants! Food is good consistently! Service is very nice! People come to say hi when they start to recognize me and my family! It is a good feeling! Very homey, healthy, and delicious foods!! Also never crowded which I like! Absolutely recommend!!!

This place is a gem! Even arriving late, we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. We shared the Korean BBQ wings and spring rolls – both were absolutely delicious. My girlfriend loved her bibimbap bowl too. Great food, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Update: July 9, 2025

Their service has gotten a lot better over the past year and their food is fantastic. It tastes like really good Korean home-cooking.

I’m really enjoying their cold buckwheat noodles nowadays.

The ganpoongki sucks every time I try it. It still has too much breading, is soggy, and the sauce is too sweet. I tried the spicy galbi tang for the first time today and I did not like it very much. The original galbi tang is great…but it seemed like the spicy one was just spicy for the sake of it. It didn’t really add anything to the dish.

We hadn’t come here since we first moved to Wake Forest two years ago. Back then both the food AND service wasn’t that great. Ironically it was summer and the AC was broken…just like today.

We gave this place another try a couple weeks ago, and have eaten here 4 times since then. The food is much better than before. The service is just as slow though. It just feels like the servers do not want to be here at all. There are usually less than 6 tables so I wouldn’t expect food service to take long.

Today I actually watched the kitchen and they sent out one dish every 5-10 minutes. So one table of 3 took 30 minutes to serve. By the time the last person got their food the other two finished eating.

It’s funny how many groups I’ve seen walk out right after walking in…cause the servers see them and proceed to ignore them. They don’t even acknowledge half the customers before the customers just walk back out.

Anyways..onto the food. I actually like the food here. It’s very traditional Korean food which I really enjoy. I hate it when people take liberties with traditional recipes and screw it up. So far we’ve had the Jja Jang Myun, Jjampong, Oh jing uh Bokkeum, a lunch box combo, and ggan poong ki. They were all good except the ggan poong ki. It had way too much breading and barely any meat.

I thought we finally found a decent Korean restaurant in Wake Forest…but I don’t know. The service was so slow today I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I got the bibimbap and it was soooo good! I had several bibimbap in South Korea and this tastes exactly like it did in Korea. Very delicious! I like how this restaurant is pure Korean and not American/Korean.

The food was excellent!!! A/C was down so it was a bit warm, still cooler than outside, but the decor was nice! Service was good, but they got busy right after we entered and they only had 2 servers so it was a bit of a wait to get our check and and to request a few items after the food came, but the server(we didn’t catch her name, darn it!) was very accommodating and didn’t pester us like some restaurants. She also made sure everything was good before we left and was very sweet. The hostess/manager(I presume) was very nice and also refilled my soup to-go. We had the fried dumplings, which were perfectly crispy! I had the Japchae and my wife had the Budae Jjigae. The Japchae had way more meat than other Korean restaurants we’ve to in Cary and the Budae Jjigae had so much meat it was insane! Good Friends Soju, peach is always a good choice and the Terra beer they offer is a decent import and good price for the size. Fyi, the photo of Bao Buns on Google maps is 4 years old and they no longer carry that item. Could be previous owners? Anyway, don’t second guess it. Eat here. Amazing!!!!

B: I had the japche and it was very good. The noodles soaked up all the rich flavors. I enjoyed my meal and the price point was reasonable especially considering the amount of food you receive.
C: flavor good

Great experience with family tonight! Two of us are familiar and love Korean food. Two had never tried it. Everyone left happy and full! We were well cared for from the time we walked in, and through out our meal. Will definitely return!

Stopped by to get some lunch today before work. Services was very good, I was tended to and my food was great. I tried the Galbi Hot Stone Bibimbap which was so good, it is sectioned under their Korean Rice part on the menu. The marinated with beef was so tasty and tender. I got an extra egg added to my food as well and the order comes with many side dishes as well. I really enjoyed my service and food. I will definitely be stopping by again to try another dish!

The food is rather greasy and definitely NOT spicy, even when we requested it for a couple of dishes. The vegetarian options are limited. Only bottles beverages, no beer, wine, or other spirits. Decor is nothing special. Drive a few minutes to Seoul Garden in Raleigh and enjoy much better Korean cuisine.
