When I visited Kong Dog, the location was pretty empty, which made me worry that not many people stop by. Inside, there were no other customers, and I ordered through a self-service kiosk.

I got one original hot dog — half cheese, half sausage — coated in sugar (highly recommend!), Cheetos-sprinkled fries, and a blueberry lemonade slushy.

To be honest, I was a bit nervous since the place had some low-rated reviews online, but I ended up loving everything I ordered! The hot dog was flavorful and had a great texture — the sugar coating really added something special. The fries with Cheetos dust are always a fun and delicious combo. And the blueberry slushy was surprisingly good — it tasted like they blended real blueberries, and I could feel some chunks in my mouth, which gave it a fresh, natural flavor.

One thing to note: you might not get the best service here, since it looked like an older man was working alone. But considering that, I really appreciate the effort he puts in, and I think it’s a place worth supporting.

Overall, I had a great experience with the food, and I’d definitely come back. Hopefully more people discover this spot!

I was scrolling thru tiktok and @hamood The Explorer pop up on my FYP and I saw it was Kong Dog favorite place we would drive to Chinatown to get some Kong dog which are like $8 and when I heard they had one in Naperville I got my husband and kids got in the car and drove straight there 20 minutes better the 50-60 minute drive. First impression of the place was hidden and when I got there it was empty didn’t think it was open but I saw the owner he greeted us and told us where we could order. I was so excited when I saw the price $5 something I was like waaaahhhh….. best believe I got my hot Cheeto best one for me

Second time I went with my mom we only had cash and I asked if we can pay with cash we weren’t able to just card I was so bummed cause I wanted (2) hot Cheeto for my mom and I and he’s like well let’s see what we can do I’m like it’s okay no worries I can come back he’s like no no. You want a big order I’m like no just two please okay you can give me cash and I’ll use my debit card I’m like are you sure he’s like of course I’m like omg you save my life lol.. left him a tip and I was so happy.

Every time I go it’s always empty but people come in and go. The owner is a sweet man very welcoming I only see him in the back he’s the only worker so it’s must be alot to make so Many corn dogs on his own.

But definitely going back I love it and I hope it never goes out of buisnes I recently went to the north riverside mall and they have one in the food court it was $6 something for a corn dog and when I got my hot Cheeto one I opened thebox they barley added any hot Cheetos or the cream they add on top I was so disappointed about that..

We were so happy when we realized Kong Dog has a location right here in Naperville – no need to go all the way downtown for it! We ordered a Hot Cheetos Kong Dog, half mozzarella and half beef, and we got such a generous portion of Cheetos to dip it in (without ordering an extra dipping sauce). The service was excellent, and we will be sure to return. If you want to try a real Kong Dog don’t hesitate to stop by Kong Dog in Naperville!

Empty shell of a space (we were not sure it was open). There was no one at the counter or menu on the wall but you could order via a kiosk. We got 6 Kong Dogs for the 3 of us so we could try different ones. It was novel, which was cool but that wore off the more we ate. It seemed like it should be at a county fair or maybe an oceanfront boardwalk… somewhere you would eat while walking.

You select your filling (hot dog, cheese, combo, chicken sausage, or plant meat). The half cheese and half hot dog combo seemed to be the way to go… not too much of one thing. For the all cheese, it was just like a giant mozzarella stick. The chicken sausage tasted like a hot dog which was fine but not expected.

We won’t be going back. It was not horrible, but just not the kind of unique place you need to visit a second time.

It’s disappointing that Kong Dog in Naperville prioritizes profit over customer health. Despite their prices not being cheap, they still use low-quality, inflammatory oil for frying—something widely known to increase the risk of cancer. In today’s world, where food education is more accessible than ever, there’s no excuse for using harmful ingredients. I expected better from a new establishment and hope they reconsider their choices.

I stopped by Kong Dog after spotting the sign while biking home from the Riverwalk. The place was pretty empty inside—very minimalistic and kind of had a cold vibe—but the menu definitely caught my attention. I wasn’t sure what to expect with options like a Fruity Pebbles corn dog and a spaghetti corn dog, but I decided to try the churro dog. It was like a giant corn dog meets carnival dessert—sweet potato coating dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Super tasty and fun, felt like fair food in the best way! Only $5.99 or $6.99 too. Food gets 5 stars from me. Only downside was the bathroom was under construction.

I’m a big fan of Kong Dog and I’ve enjoyed trying out some of the options that they’ve since been coming out with. Simple concept, nice food, nice treat for when I’m coming out this direction. Shame the televisions didn’t work but the worker who helped me was super pleasant.

Corn dogs were great but the strawberry matcha latte was literally just strawberry milk. It was good, but there was no matcha in it.
