Great service, food, and atmosphere. We had the mix grill with beef chicken and rib and it was amazing. They do not skimp on the portions. Great value for your money. The Mac salad was amazing. The spam misubi was very good. The food made you feel like you were truly in Hawaii.

A nice change of pace for ordering quick food at the counter but with a Hawaiian flare in the taste. Exotic looking wooden tables with sturdy wooden stools add some visual distinctiveness to the experience. They also have some very delicious sauces in pumps at the counter to add flavor to the rice that makes up the most common side dish. They have a grilled chicken breast for the gluten free crowd. I went with the Hawaiian BBQ chicken and was very pleased with the flavor and the quantity.

I recently dined at Kona Hawaiian BBQ in Johnstown and had an average experience overall.
The seating arrangement was disorganized (really should get more functional tables/chairs and add more), and the portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price. The presentation of the pork could have been better for easier eating (agree also with another review that it was a little dry).
The staff was friendly, but considering the prices and average food, I’m unsure if I’ll be back.

Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The staff was very friendly and our food came out in 5 minutes. Sadly we are just visitors in the area, if not this place could easily become a staple in our family. The picture is the volcano chicken which was fantastic.

Literally just came back from a visit to O’ahu. Have ate L&L all over, and on the island. Food tastes authentic. BBQ chicken=amazing beef shorts ribs=delicious. Macaroni salad is amazing as well! Too bad we don’t have a beach/ocean too look at! Delicious and so happy it’s open!!!!!!!!

Overall very good BBQ! I got the Katsu and BBQ combo with a drink and 2 spring rolls and the total came to $21. The staff was super friendly. The food was very good and I would definitely come back.

We came with 2 kids. All of us got teriyaki chicken. The kids got mini meals that came with rice and macaroni salad. Us adults got meals that came with a small salad with really good dressing and 2 scoops of rice. The flavor of the chicken was delicious, it was cooked very well. You can get more teriyaki sauce because they have a dispenser in the lobby. Just in case you want more yummy on your chicken. The rice is so good mixed with the sauce and chicken. The salad breaks it up when you need a cool taste. I wanted to eat it so quick because that’s how good it taste.i want to try more food, I will come here again. They have many different options to choose from. I like the restaurant tables and chairs too. They had a lot of customers coming for take out while we were there. Our food was hot and fresh and they were busy. Good place!

They were so sweet as I had just gotten off a long shift, and they were closing 15 min after I had come in. Very polite, understanding and made great food! Thank you for the good service and a really tasty dinner after a long day!
