We always make it a point to stop at breweries on our travels, and Kona Brewing Co. absolutely did not disappoint! Our server, Emily, was fantastic—super friendly, attentive, and really elevated the experience.
The food was incredible across the board. We ordered the Brew-Ben and the Poke Bowl, along with the Captain, Margherita, and Wild Mushroom pizzas—everything was delicious and fresh.
On the tap list, the Spruce IPA was a great, unique beer to try, and we also loved the Gold Cliff and the Mahea Haze. If you’re a craft beer fan visiting the island, this is a mandatory stop!

Outdoor seating would have been cool but we didnt have reservations and only had a 15 min wait or so before being taken to the inside part. No complaints there. Pretty happening spot. Kinda cramped on the seating.

Beer was cold and tasty. Exactly what we expect from KBC.

Food was OK. Nothing special. Pizza was good enough. Just wasnt anything that defined the norm and for the price- i wouldnt get it again.

Wofe got the nachos and she enjoyed them but again, nothing set the apart from any other nachos for me.

Great service.

The food? Amazing. The beer? Even better. The vibes? 10/10.

You HAVE to try the Cubano sandwich — perfectly pressed, melty, crispy, ridiculously delicious. I’m still thinking about it.

My husband ordered the poke and it was super fresh — like “you can taste the ocean” fresh.

Hands down our favorite brewery ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No debate.

Group of 4 adults had lunch here and all 4 meals and cocktails were delicious. Atmosphere was fun. Enjoyed being outside on the covered patio. Fast, polite service.

Between the beers and food, I think we could come here every day. Fresh poke bowl, edamame, pizza, oh my! We wanted to order half the menu (and basically did)! I had a pizza with the garlic oil base and I wish I could bring it back to the mainland with me. Unbelievably quality of food just like their beers. A must stop for anyone on the big island!

A short wait for our table but once seated our server was attentive to our needs. I was able to get a couple of samples before I decided on the brown coconut not sure if was a porter but it was good. Ordered the poke and a fish sandwich. Both were good but I recommend asking for extra poke sauce with the poke.

Paid for the Kona Brewery tour at 1:30pm and it was so worth the small fee (~$25) and got us a table in the restaurant before the dinner rush! The tour guide gentleman was very knowledgeable, funny, and we could get a sense of the great culture that Kona brewing has built. The one hour flew by as we learned how they brew and can in their small operation. We had a private bar in the same building to sample a few favorites and even a backyard brew that will never be sold to the public! We got to take a pics, chat about the beers, and then head back downstairs for souvenier purchases.

They drove us back to the pub and we were able to get seated quickly and have some fantastic food. 10/10 would do again!!

I’ve enjoyed Kona’s beers on the mainland for a number of years, but seeing what they have going on Hawaii and touring their facility took my respect for them to the next level. Dave was an awesome tour guide, not to mention a super cool dude, and they have so much more to offer at their brewery than I would have ever expected. The restaurant has solid food and the atmosphere is really enjoyable too, so stop by if you have the chance.

In the mainland some local brews are difficult to come by so finding new found flavors was great . Kua bay and Dukes were our new favorites of course other favorites of longboard and big wave are spectacular but nothing like a local brew and amazing food .

Large brewery and restaurant in a trendy new area in town. We had a Hanalei IPA brewed with POG that was refreshing but not too fruty and a Black Sand Porter. The porter was very good. We also tried the smash burger, which wasn’t so much a smash burger as a pork/beef burger on an ube bun. The ube bun was interest – not the most appetizing color on the outside but super cool on the inside. The flavor of the patty, the aioli and the bun together was great. The kettle chips were good. The fish tacos with the mac salad needed a hot sauce but were tasty, if a bit small. Service here was good.
