Came here for lunch today. Excellent food, everything is super fresh. Heavy traffic with customers in and out. The Dim Sums we had were all delicious, the Crab Rangoon, Honey Garlic Chicken, spring rolls, rice noodles, all delicious.. Definitely will be coming back. The food we ordered was more than enough for our party of 3. We all left stuffed with enough left overs for possibly 2 more people. So I would say that for under $100 bucks including tip (no drinks, just water) you can get excellent delicious dim sums, and top of the line Chinese food dishes for easy a party of 5.. Like I said, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you .

One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been too in a while. Food, service all 5 star. Came out hot and fresh with incredible value! We ordered quite a few plates including tip for $25 each! Highly recommend the sesame balls. So good!

I have been coming here since i was 10 years old. I am 24 now. I live 30 minutes away and made the trip because i was craving quality chinese food especially dim sum in Miami which is hard to find.

KON CHAU IS ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY. Find a better chinese place in Miami I dare you to try. I certainly cant find one.

I would rate this restaurant 6/5 stars if I could. I love it to death.

Be strategic about when you come because this place has long been discovered. Its normally packed with long waits. I came on Saturday at 4:30 pm and there were a ton of people and only 2 open tables. Love to see this great establishment crushing it!!!!

I’ll be back, Kon Chau, and probably one day I’ll be bringing my kids here teaching them how to use chopsticks just like my Dad did for me. 🙂 ❤️

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food in the Miami area this is the spot to go to! They have a very nice dim sum selection that’s very authentic as well as other dishes. We got the shrimp dumplings (10/5 tasted homemade), eggplant (4/5), Shanghai soup dumplings (4/5), shrimp rice roll (10/5 so chewy and fresh), and chicken feet (5/5)
Dimsum is the authentic I’ve had in the Miami area and the roast duck was pretty good as well (a bit on the saltier side for me personally but I have low salt tolerance). I went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was filled with people! The owner is very nice and tea is good as well!

Food was good. Each little dish is about $5.50 that comes with 2-3 dumplings. It was really good and fresh. However, I thought that was a bit pricey. It also has an 18% automatic tip service fee so keep that in mind. The service and food was good!

We drove far to visit this restaurant so we were a bit disappointed to try lackluster dim sum. The service was very friendly. Parking was easy to get. We came around noon and expected a crowded typical of California or even in Vegas where we currently reside but to our surprised we were seated right away. Some dishes were ok. The fried taro cake was had a good surface crunch but very oily and lacked actual taro with a lot of flour. Most of the other dishes were just okay. I understand S. FL might have a lack of dim sum options or even Chinese food for that matter.

I wish them the best even if the food doesn’t hit it for us. I’m sure it’s better than no alternatives for the locals here.

This review would normally be 3 stars if it wasn’t for location and the service.

As other have mentioned, automatic 18% gratuity.

We came here a few years ago, I didn’t leave a review … sorry I didn’t and drove over an hour to come back again in a desperate search of good dim sum.
It’s only a 3 star imo…half of the dishes were served warm at best.
Sticky Rice lotus leaf: one huge one as opposed to the usual 2 smaller ones you get. The rice was hard and tasted like regular rice but it did look like sushi rice but pretty dry. Flavors and filling were good.
Shu Mai: very small basic standard flavor
Fried turnip cake: very nice flavor good texture not overly doughy like other places that chintz on daikon
Fried taro: great flavor but almost cold
Egg tart: large ones which are so much better than those little ones that are all crust! The crust appears pale and undercooked but the custard looks perfect, not too sweet either. This was by far the best item here.
Fried sesame balls: not bad
Stuffed green pepper: good but sauce is supposed to be garlic black bean, this one lacked flavor
Stuffed bean curd: same as above, I would not order again
Baked roast pork and custard buns: good filling but dough is too heavy, milk bread is much lighter and more delicate
Too far for just ok, I’ll stick w ones closer.

This place was not all that it was cracked up to be according to the reviews I saw online, especially for the price I paid. I enjoyed the egg roll but everything else was passive if you’re hungry but definitely not a place I will go back to. Went there because of the reviews but unfortunately it wasn’t to my satisfaction. My rice had a little burnt taste to it. The presentation of the food was sloppy where I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the rice. Sometimes people have bad days but unfortunately because it was my first time there, I go by first impressions. The host was nice so that’s why I gave a 3 star. He was the only one. A lady vacuuming behind me hitting the legs of my chair not even saying excuse me or anything. That was unprofessional.

Kon Chau was absolutely delicious! I visited to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and while it was busy, it didn’t feel overcrowded. This is some of the best dim sum I’ve had in South Florida, which says a lot coming from someone who has enjoyed dim sum in the Chinatowns of New York, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, and even Hong Kong.

Every bite was authentic and flavorful. My favorites included the dumplings, fried shrimp balls, fried shrimp with taro, stuffed eggplant with shrimp, pan-fried noodles, and the roasted duck.

I’m already craving more! I can’t wait to return for another dim sum feast and to explore their other Chinese entrees.

We went for the first time to this Chinese Restaurant and we were quite impressed, the location is not exactly a quaint place, but the parking is convenient, the restaurant is a little bit outdated but smells clean, and the best part is that indeed everything is impeccable including the service and the food ( definitely delicious ).

Pros: Affordable Prices and the service is just so great!!

We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, BQ Ribs, egg rolls, Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Dumplings, they have the most variety and yummy dumplings we ever had! The shrimp with scallions and the scallop ones are a must-have!

We are coming back for sure!!
