To be honest, the owner’s remarkable kindness and warm hospitality were worth five stars and all my money, even if the food had been mediocre. Yet, the meal itself was absolutely divine! The difference is that many other ramen places pile on many ingredients, but here, the chef literally creates magic with just three key elements. It’s clear that every ingredient was meticulously sourced and prepared, providing a genuinely authentic and wonderful experience. My one small critique is that the seasoning was a touch too salty. While the final bill is slightly high, the overall quality and authentic flavor perfectly justify the investment. I confidently believe this is the best ramen spot in Brussels.

I heard a lot about the Koku Ramen before visiting and seeing that the restaurant is open only twice a day for about 1.5 hours we decided to come a bit early for the dinner service which typically starts at 7:00, we arrived at 6:40 and there was already a queue.
The place itself is not too big about 20-30 people can sit at a time, we were lucky enough to get one of the final tables. The servers and owner are very kind and very fair when it comes to the queue and they really try to accommodate everyone
We sat down and went ahead and ordered 2 bowls of Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen one with extra chashu one sharing plate of kaarage (4pcs) and some drinks, this in total came to about 65 euros the ramen was about 21 per person the kaarage 11 the extra chashu 5.5 euro.
The food was honestly to die for, the waiting so totally worth it, the chashu was melt in your mouth tender the noodles were freshly made and the broth was balanced where i found most ramen broths too salty this one was perfect. The karaage was tender and not too oily.
I would absolutely recommend coming here and come always 30 minutes prior to opening so that you guarantee yourself a table. Note to read their website as they do have some rules for being seated nothing complicated but easy to overlook.

We waited 2h in line for this ramen – very very delicious. We were offered blankets while waiting outside in case we were cold which was very thoughtful. I had the spicy pork broth ramen (amazingly good but not that spicy really) and my partner the spicy garlic ramen. Quality ingredients although I would be more generous with the chicken. The broth was very thick and different from anything I’ve had before. We shared the wakamé salad (perfect amount of vinegar) and chicken for starters which the waiter brought a soya sauce and teryaki sauce for. Would I wait this long again? Maybe not, but if you do wait it out, you don’t get disappointed.

It’s hands down the best ramen noodles we’ve had in Brussels, and it’s a place we truly enjoy going to with our close friends.
The chicken or vegetable fried gyoza are excellent, and the karaage is outstanding, perfectly crispy and not greasy at all.
The only downside is that they don’t take reservations, so you definitely need to queue before the restaurant opens in the evening.

My favorite food spot on my first trip to Brussels. We had the Gyoza, Karaage and Shio Ramen and it was the best Ramen me and my family has had not only on our visit but also back in the states in the New England area. It is definitely a required stop for us when we visit Belgium again. The service was awesome and everyone there is very considerate. It is worth the wait.

This was the best meal I had in my week-long trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. I ordered the spicy miso soup. The broth was so rich and delicious! I can’t think of a place where I had a better broth. The noodles were also cooked just right. Basically it was a flawless meal.
My wife ordered the black garlic ramen, which she enjoyed but we both felt the spicy miso was better.
Koku Ramen is excellent. It is a bit pricey, but given the quality, I really can’t complain. Definitely recommend!

This place is fully packed everyday and for a good reason! I advise anyone to come here 30 minutes before it opens as the queue can get quite long. Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious ramen and gyoza! We are definitely coming back

Tried Koku ramen and it was amazing! The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, and the gyoza were some of the best I’ve had in Brussels— crispy outside and juicy inside. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more special. Cozy vibe, great service, and fantastic food— Really worth the wait.

Great atmosphere and delicious food!
We waited about 15 minutes for a table on a Wednesday night, but there’s a designated waiting area, and the time passed quickly. Once seated, it doesn’t take long for the food to arrive. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! Just a heads-up, the ramen broth is extremely hot when it’s served, so be careful with your first sip.
