I would give this place a 3.5 if I could.
To start, the place was very nice and interesting. The staff was was very kind and attentive. They even helped me sign up for rewards which gave me a 40% discount!!!! Now the food…
We order an Iced tea and hot green tea. Both were very delicious. I got the miso soup and a tuna onigiri. It came wrapped so I am unsure if it was pre-packaged. It was so, so, so, salty. I thought maybe it was the first bite, nope, the whole thing tasted salty. Far more saltier than seaweed should be. The miso soup was hot and nothing special, bland almost.
We also order the miso ramen and beef curry bowl. The miso ramen was so delicious. So rich and brothy. Especially with this spicy paste(sauce?) they gave us. The curry bowl at first glance is nothing special but it was very yummy. All of it together, the rice, the sauce, the beef. It all paired perfectly together.
For dessert we go green tea mochi. They were delivered frozen solid but they were so good. (You can’t really mess up ice cream mochi.)
I recommend this place but some items are better than others.

Kokoro is possibly my favorite dining spot in all of Denver. Each location serves delicious Japanese comfort food at reasonable prices in a warm amd inviting atmosphere. The beef curry bowl is a personal favorite that I always order with a side of beautiful and lightly fried shrimp (Ebi Furai). Prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and quantity diners receive.

The nice lady, that took my order was very kind.
I enjoyed the seaweed salad and karaage chicken.
I believe, I had the Kokoro bowl.
I didn’t enjoy the taste of the teriyaki sauce that was on it.
It had a very interesting after taste.
Other than that, I will come back and eat here again.

This restaurant is part of the Sharebite options for my office, and I normally really enjoy sushi. I cannot speak for the service or the ambience of the restaurant because I only order through Sharebite, but I can speak about the food quality. I have had repeated issues with the shrimp tempura rolls from here. I have found actual shrimp shell or skin inside the roll on about three different occasions. This time 3 of my rolls had little pieces of skin shell. Are you guys event cleaning the shrimp? Never ordering from here again and It is not the usual tail piece that some places leave on, but pieces of shell mixed in with the shrimp itself.
Not Ok.

Kokoro Japanese Resturant is an excellent place to enjoy a tasty meal with friends, family, or alone. The food is great; fresh, varied, and tastes wonderful. The beef in the Beef Bowl is my favorite, with the Forest Child soup. Today we shared a spider roll, a spicy tuna roll and egg rolls in addition to the Beef Bowl. It was so delicious.
The service is prompt, professional and friendly. I really enjoy this resturant and would invite anyone to try it out and see what they have been missing.
Kudos to Kokoro.

Service here is insanely quick. Ordered a sushi roll and chicken bowl. Both were very underwhelming. Nothing special to report about both dishes.

This restaurant is a Denver gem! They could make it twice as big and it would be full every night! The food has always been great, and the quality has never changed. It’s great. The seating is more geared toward young people. While we were there, 3 other senior couples came in and tried to sit at a booth and we’re cuaes away to a table or a booth. Seniors do not sit or get up on those high tables and counters. We need the easy comfy booths, but there’s are reserved for groups of 3 or more. I feel that’s terribly unfair to us seniors!! I hope management would reconsider allowing seniors to sit at the booths.

I love the food here. I eat the healthiest dishes like the vege bowl, green salad with an Asian dressing, brown rice, miso soup and green tea. It’s fresh, I love their pickled red ginger on my vege bowl along with their dry spice. I like to taste my tea and their green tea was made strong enough to taste it. Its less than $3 and you get a coffee pot thermos container so you can refill your tea cup and sip tea through your whole meal as you converse.

Stopped in for Mile High Asian Food Week and this was our first visit but will not be our last! The food was indeed quick and delicious! I loved the Unagi Rice Bowl and was impressed with the size of the Unagi.
