Koi – Japanese Cusine Sushi Lounge & Hibachi is a Japanese restaurant located off of Cordova Road in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Unique and fresh Japanese and Thai cuisine that will entertain any tastebud. Enjoy dessert too with our Fried Ice Cream and Fried Banana. We have daily happy hour 11:30AM-6:30PM, with lunch specials 11:30AM-3PM Monday-Friday. Thursday is ladies night $6 special drink. New Happy Hour hours 11:30am – 6:00pm starting March 15, 2024.

Enjoyed happy hour. We had the coconut mojito and the mango mojito. The crispy bok choy and shishito pepper were yummy. We had the crab sushi roll and the spicy girl roll. We ended with the green tea ice cream. We will return. Their lunch specials also look great.

3 Stars on Food – Average. Ordered the Sushi and Sashimi combo, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Red Curry. Sushi was flavorful. Sashimi was flat. Ramen was incredibly flat and unflavorful with no vegetable content. Red curry was flavorful and filling. Also ordered spicy edamame, flavor profile was ok. Most food seemed frozen.
2 Stars on Service – Below average service. No one came to serve us for about 15 minutes. Forgot about our order. Food times were slow.
4 Stars on Atmosphere – Beautiful interior space and decoration. Music is nice, and very open airy space. Good noise levels to have conversations in.
TLDR – Food is average, service is lacking, atmosphere is good. Overall, not worth the bill or time.

In town for conference and stopped in just at end of happy hour, so I ordered seaweed salad and two rolls: Blue Dragon and Sexy Lady. Everything was delicious and star of the show was the Sexy Lady roll! Staff was very friendly.

Quick lunch stop at Koi – Sushi Lounge, I was not disappointed with the choice I picked, food was delicious, nothing overpowering with the flavor. Sushi rolls were on point and filling. The Lychee Martini drink was sweet and refreshing as well. The server was attentive. We sat outside since the day nice, the outdoor seating set the town as well.

A bit more pricey than I was expecting at first, but worth every penny. The atmosphere was perfect for eating and their catering was amazing even calling to see if my reservation was meant to be set outside or inside for dining. The service was amazing never letting my drink reach the bottom. The appetizer and the sushi were innovative and out of this world. Deserves the 5/5 reviews.

Definitely average sushi, we’ve had better before but it wasn’t terrible. Our service was great when we first got there but it seemed like right after we ordered our food it went down hill. No refills were done, we both wanted to have another cocktail but they never came to ask, we had to find our waitress to get the check. Very very noisy, could barely hear person across from me at table. There’s definitely better places to go!

I first came across Koi sushi in January of 2020 (and am shocked I did not leave a review already) while in town for business. I went back several times in January through February, and have returned in the later years whenever I visited the area. The sushi has always been great and the service is even better. John and Eugene were the folks I interacted with and even years after my first visit, John was just as welcoming as the first times. Highly recommend trying Koi Sushi Lounge!
