This is our new favorite sushi restaurant. Food was beautifully presented, delicious, and fresh. We had the Ajitama Scotch Egg, Glazed Japanese Sweet Potato, Koi Dinner Combo, Sushi Fry, Miso Soup, and House Salad. We love the atmosphere with a koi pond and waterfall at the entrance, artful decor of cherry blossoms, and hand drawn Takayuka-shiki house. Our waitress was JuJu and she was friendly, courteous, and checked on us frequently. Prices are affordable and reasonable. We’ll be taking family and friends here any time we can.

Koi Japanese Bistro looks pretty unassuming from the outside, located in a small complex (which has it’s own parking lot, so that’s a bonus) and a beige building exterior, it’s easy to drive right past it. However, for the diner interested in sampling their menu, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. This restaurant provides a unique spin on traditional Japanese cuisine, staying true to most of the flavors, but keeping it fresh with some interesting innovations.

I have been to Koi Japanese Bistro for sushi since they have opened, and I have been impressed every time! Ordered the mushroom risotto with scallops, grilled octopus, unagi roll, and sashimi for dinner. Every dish was so amazingly delicious! Our waitress is so friendly and kind. Love her personality. The owners are so kind and humble too. The ambience was chill and relaxing. Love the koi pond!

We had a great experience. The server was attentive and gracious throughout the meal. We ordered a large variety of dishes and the quality was consistent across the board. This was, by far, the best restaurant we visited while in sacramento.

We’re not happy with our lunch. The tea took 2 trials before we were brought the hot tea. Only 1 out of 4 dishes is eatable. The rest aren’t good nor fresh.

Had an exceptional dinner here with my daughter. The vibe of this place is amazing with a Koi pond complete with fountain and beautiful decor. Our server was so sweet, polite, quick and attentive. She definitely went out of her way and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.

I had so much fun at this restaurant. Food was amazing and fresh. I love the atmosphere! Super trendy & cute. Great ambiance with the Koi pond in the back and natural sunlight. Love the plants everywhere and artwork. I think its a blessing that they support other local small businesses. Also can watch sports and have a mixer vibe.
