What more could you ask for when speaking African and Caribbean cuisine? I think it’s highly dismissive to speak negatively and or leave bad reviews about this place. How is it that a person can say this food didn’t meet their expectations when most of your lives you grew up on McDonalds lol, seriously! Let’s agree that if you had a negative experience it’s simply cause your taste palette is no where in comparison to this delicious food. The food is flavorful, fresh and made with love. The vibes are high and the staff is very accommodating. As soon as I walked in today I was greeted with love, smiles and kindness, these are all attributes of some of the best qualities you can find. I will always be ready to fill my appetite here with so
many great dishes that is available for your liking. I find Koffi Grill to be a great experience in and outside the Cedar Rapids area. Today’s choice for me was the Eggusi Soup with
Fufu. Please don’t try eating with utensils ( dont be disrespectful and ruin the ancestral experience). I have quietly been supporting Koffi Grill for well over 4 years and counting and hopefully more! I love this place and I can only hope that all who reads this review that you give them a try. There is so much love and tradition here! Please support!!!

I usually eat at I love fufu but I ate here once when it was in the mall & didn’t like it , I tried it again today because I didn’t feel like driving to Iowa city let’s just say next time I’ll be driving 30 mins . My experience even worse this time . Only thing was good was my plantains The regular ones, sweet ones was nasty dry & not sweet at all. My cassava leaf taste like salty spinach & had one piece of goat meat & a string of meat that idek yeah I will never be back after I spent over $30 oh & the fufu was good I guess that’s a plus

The folks behind the counter and in the kitchen were nice. The food was delicious! They just opened so their table set up could upgrade but still a nice place for lunch

I’ve tried their food a few times.
Overall I think the food is good.
The people here are nice.
The challenge of giving a great review for food in the mall is that atmosphere is impacted by the location of the food court.
My last visit was not the best. I ordered two meals and after waiting only ended up with one.
They didn’t charge me for the second otherwise I would have rated lower. It’s an inconvenience and time killer since I had to go order something else.

I was so excited to try this food but it was a huge disappointment! Everything tasted old and she told she was making fresh fufu but it wasn’t fresh, it was rewarmed. I have an African husband and know the difference. The goat was only bones, rice was very dry. The only thing that was half decent were the plantains and peanut butter soup. I spent 90 for this nasty food….never again!!

The food was delicious. This is my first time ordering the atieke, I am coming back to order the fufu and soup. Keep up the good work, I got the taste of Africa. Love it

I love their egusi soup and fufu. The texture of the fufu is everything . Koffigrill degue couscous and bissap juices are a plus, can’t go wrong with either one. I’m excited to see more african restaurants in IA especially Iowa city and Cedar Rapids.

First time eating here I ordered eugsi. It was good but a bit salty. Didn’t get that much eugsi or meat and for the price of 20.00 you would expect more. I would try again because staff was very friendly and pleasant. Also it is very clean would recommend give it a try.
