Low quality pretty pricey. The hibachi grill fella was nice.. but the food was pretty bad. The sushi is low grade. They need to control their bug issue as well. Will not return. I added pics that I took.. I made them look appetizing but in all honesty, not good.

My experience at kobe was pretty good. I indulged in the sushi. Very tasty. Most were either california rolls, had krab or shrimp and some were deep fried. The pork bun unfortunately was soggy on the bottom so I didn’t end ul eating it in case it was undercooked. The dessert in my honest opinion isn’t worth the trip. Everything else was pretty good. It’s not in the picture but I also tried the chow mein, fried rice, curry noodles and the spicy beef. They also have the option for Mongolian BBQ. Which I did not try this time but I’m excited to try.

Despite the bad reviews me and my husband decided to try this sushi buffet out just to see if it was really so bad, I walk in and it’s SO HUMID AND MUSTY. But I’m like whatever because as long as the food is good I don’t really mind, service is horrible and the food is mid. Sushi is okay and the pork I genuinely could not keep in my mouth, current price for dinner is 24 dollars per person for a not so good experience. Would only come again ONLY for the sushi and that would be my last choice. I feel sick not even 20 minutes after eachother and I’ll edit it if I get sick.

We used to love coming here, however the last couple years I feel like the food quality is declining. We went on a sunday afternoon a week ago and wasnt impressed. There wasn’t a big variety of sushi boats options. The cream cheese wontons were soft and cold. And alot of the options just didn’t seem that fresh. I honestly left with a stomach ache and dissatisfaction.

We went the day after Thanksgiving, so I didn’t expect it to be busy. It was not. I also expected sushi. They had overly mayonnaised rolls. Some of the buffet items were ok, but nothing I would go back for. I wish I could say something good about the food. The servers were very attentive and the only thing good about the experience.

Service is amazing and friendly. Food was beyond exceptional and I’ve ate sushi for years at some of the top restaurants in San Francisco and elsewhere. I have family from Japan and had made sushi at home myself, and I’ve owned three coffee shops so I can tell you this place is clean and very well managed. We have taken friends here on special occasions, my wife and I do our date nights here, my daughter and I have our sit down and enjoy each other’s company session… I guess you could just say my whole family loves this place. Met the owner Kevin wants and a very very nice person. All the staff are kind. They’re very good at accommodating people with disabilities, again they are friendly. I would recommend not eating for a day or two prior going because you’re going to love every bite so much you’ll want to try everything.

This is like our fancy meal, we come here after major events and achievements. Price is fair, currently $16 for lunch and $22 for dinner before drinks. Sushi is good to me but I’m not a big sushi fan per say. I like the spicy crab with crispy flakes and lots of sauce or their deep fried ones.
You get sushi boats, a Chinese buffet, a Mongolian bowl, and the most amazing coffee mocha chocolate cake, honestly to me that’s worth the price alone.
Parking is easy and location on McHenry in Modesto is very nice yet relaxed. Lot of fun things to do in the area before or after.

By no means a very fancy place but the great food and service make up for it. They have a huge assortment of steam table dishes including Kobe checking, chow mein and the list goes on and on. I think their specialty is the little boats that float around in the serpentine around the lunch counter with With plates of sushi. Better than that you can order whatever sushi rolls you like it as many times as you like.. Your buck goes along way here. I’ve been here several times and I’ve never been disappointed
