First time there. Obviously popular, as it was crowded by the time I left. I only had sushi, which I don’t recommend. I ordered 2 specialty rolls (Tokyo roll and Mizo roll), which came out remarkably fast. Now I know why. At the time I ordered, there were only hibachi customers, no one else ordered sushi. The rice was fair, but the insides were both unidentifiable as they were a paste, like the consistency of pimento cheese. Seems like it was put in a food processor to form a a paste of spurts. I’ve never seen sushi prepared this way. You couldn’t identify individual contents like avocado, crabmeat, etc. Maybe their hibachi or other menu items are fine, I don’t know, but I would not recommend ordering sushi from this establishment. The waitress was very friendly, but not dressed professionally. One more thing : they don’t have low sodium soy sauce

We ordered online pickup for lunch and the piece of salmon that came with our salmon plate should’ve basically been in a kids meal we ordered adult meals btw. We ordered a hibachi steak as well and got a few cubes of steak. For the amount we pay we expect to be getting what would be served if we were seated. Please do better.

Absolutely not worth the price.
I ordered to go, noodles with scallops and veggies, the scallops were fine but not great, and onions and two pieces of broccoli were all I got for veggies. The plate was very soupy, maybe as an attempt to bring in some flavor because the noodles didn’t have any, and they were also a bit tough. It made a huge mess in the bag and got on my clothes because soup isn’t supposed to be in a plate container. Kind of seems like they decided to charge $17 because of the scallops and then forgot about the quality on the rest of the dish.

Great food, great portions for the price be prepared to take some food home! It’s delicious. You get soup, salad, noodles, veggies, rice & whatever meat you choose or they sell sushi as well. Highly recommend. We drive an hour to come eat here!

I have been to this establishment 4 different times in the span of 3 years. My first time, I went with 4 other co-workers. The food was great and the service was great. The second time was for my birthday. The food was great and the service was great. The third time I went, the food was full of soy sauce that I didn’t end up taking it home but I noticed that the chef gave the other guests a decent portion of their hibachi order, my two other friends and I did not receive the same. Today was my fourth and final visit. Today we were seated by a family (guest of 4). The waiter was a bit pushy and the chef was more attentive to the family of four than my friends and I. The family of 4 received a large portion of fried rice. My two friends got less than half of their portion and I barely had enough rice to cover my plate !!! The same thing happened with the vegetables because I was the last one, I got the short end of the stick, there might have been 4 vegetables on my plate. The family of 4 received a generous amount, my friends received less than half of their portion. The same thing happened with the meat. When I first came to this restaurant, I had enough to be able to take a to-go box, the last 2 times, not at all. Our money is just like everyone else and we should be served and given the EXACT same portion as everyone else at that table. Due to the service received, my friends and I did not tip, nor will we be back to the restaurant. Today’s experience was definitely the LAST straw!

New Years Eve dinner. Nice atmosphere and decor. Had a short wait to get a table. We had an older chef who was a fantastic cook, maybe not the most flamboyant with tricks, but our table was pretty low key and didn’t want rice thrown at us or sake shot into our mouths – he did try though. The onion sound was really nicely flavored, and the salad was fresh and crispy. I did notice the dressing, while flavorful, was a little too watery. Be aware that if you order double rice and no vegetables, you will get a HUGE portion of very tasty rice – like 3/4 plate of rice. All the food was cooked perfectly and expertly. I was a little disappointed in the ginger sauce and mustard sauce because they were both watery and did stick to the meat very well. It’s definitely a place to go for hibachi!!!

The restaurant was busy but we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The food here was delicious. We ordered salmon, lobster, and shrimp from the hibachi grill. All the entrees were very flavorful and tasted fresh. It was my sons birthday dinner, and they do make it a very special production out of it with a big drum and gongs. it was a fun evening. Just be careful with the sake…. it does get quite warm in temperature.

We went at dinner on a Wednesday night. We got in quickly. Service was impeccable! The food was amazing. It was the best hibachi in Lubbock. The chicken was tender and so was the steak. The rice was very flavorful. The onion soup had an umami flavor and tons of depth, you could tell it wasn’t just bullion in water with onion and mushroom added. The portions were also quite generous. We have 3 kids and the kids meals were reasons priced and also generous portions. I will absolutely be returning! I highly recommend this place.

First time ever coming here. I went to the restroom and one of the cooks washed his hands for maybe 2 seconds if that, then blows his nose and doesn’t wash his hands again. Next we order a cali roll and the rice was sour. Mind you there’s 6 to a plate and three of us trying one each. My daughter went to the restroom to spit it out, my wife picked at hers and I ate a whole one but we tasted something off. I began to investigate the crab and Avocado seemed normal. Tasted the RICE and it was SOUR. We tell the server and she says she can’t do anything because we’ve already ate half of the order. So I talk with Emily the manager upfront and we’re both at an understanding that I’m not paying for the sushi. I also mentioned to her the salad was sitting in a pool of water and our soup was cold. I should’ve looked at the review before walking in. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! My server comes over before I even asked for the ticket to give it to us so I felt rushed and proceeds with the manager gave you 50% off, at first I was like oh they didn’t have to do that but then she says oh no it’s just on the sushi. I was blown away at the BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not to mention we hardly got rice or vegetables maybe a cup and half of rice and that’s cause I asked for double rice and the people sitting next to us hardly had anything. I spoke with the sever and it turns out Roger the store manager instructed Emily to still charge us for the sushi even after letting them know about the sour sushi, cold soup and bowl of water with salad. I don’t write a lot of reviews but if feel like I had to warn as many people I can. I hope we dont get FOOD POISONING! Definitely not worth the $100+ spent there. I can say the sushi was inexpensive and though it was just $6 it wasn’t monitory for us it was the principle of how they took care of us.
