Service was oretty good, not stellar but didn’t suck. The chef was… odd. He seemed to be hung up on waffle house and chic fil a and made his entire presentation about that. Dinner was good but we miss the banana dessert they used to do. I don’t know that we will be back, but it is great food!

My food order was incorrect, let’s start there. No big deal. I call and the guy immediately says “oh yeah we gave you the wrong order, come back.” I drive 30 minutes back to pick up my food and they ask me if I brought the incorrect order back…. HUH??? Now they won’t give me my original order that THEY messed up because I didn’t bring back the other order. Mind you, they didn’t tell me to bring it back. I didn’t think to bring it back because what are they going to do? Heat it up and give it to someone else?? I guess that was their plan because they REFUSED to give me my order without having the old food. Not only that, but the manager or owner came out yelling at her employees and at me for over 5 minutes. At the end of this, I spent almost 2 hours driving to pick up the food, going back, and being yelled at by the staff. I can’t say I’ve ever experienced such atrocious behavior from a place I used to love. I can confidently say I will never go back to this location.

Note: all 1 star, but I cannot give the food any stars because I was prohibited from having any.

Yes I’m complaining. Tried a new hibachi spot other than my usual. They give me my food with this sad ahh portion of chicken. Then gon say “that juh the portion” when everybody else plate was full. Save your money

A really fun place. 5 of us went for lunch and the chef cooked all our meals in front of us on a grill. The chef was so attentive, pleasant and funny. We had a lot of laughs and enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back there. Highly recommend.

Decent food for a little over what I feel it’s worth (what’s pictured came with soup and salad). — The house soup’s broth is very good.

The Sushi + Sashimi was fairly fresh, but basic, I didn’t taste any wasabi under the fish or soysauce glaze on it. I wish it came from the kitchen how it’s recommended to be eaten by the chef rather than having to dress it myself with the horribly bland “wasabi” they offered.–I’m open to really see some creativity. Pickled ginger didn’t taste great either.

The tuna was disappointingly lean for the whole thing being circa $36.

Could altogether get better looking plates and skip out on the leaves and carrot shavings under the sashimi. Carrots have nothing to do with this dish I felt bad for leaving it on the plate and it going to waste.

Staff’s very friendly and patient.

I wish they didn’t sing happy birthday to fully grown adults, since there were two in one night across the restaurant and completely interrupted our conversations worsening the quality of our dinner.

My wife and I went there on Sunday night for dinner, and we had a really good time. We were sat at the hibachi grill, and since it was slow, it ended up being just the 2 of us. The chef Carlos was awesome and entertaining, even though it was just the 2 of us, we still got to enjoy the show. Jessica our server was right on top of all of our needs, and had everything ready really quick.

We got some sushi, and the Imperial dinner for 2. I thought we got a ton of food for what we ordered. The imperial dinner for 2 is a lot, and we ended up taking most of it home since we couldn’t finish it all there. I did make room for the fried bananas while we were there though. Haha.

Really enjoy this place, and will be back again.

I love this place and have been going for years. Not a fancy, posh hibachi place but it is so good.

We celebrated Mother’s Day dinner at Kobe with at least 10 people. Our waitress (Christina) was super nice We actually had a personal problem, my brother spilled water in his son’s plate and ruined the whole plate. We were the last people in the whole establishment and they were already cleaning up ready to go but as soon as Christina realized what happened she spoke to her manager (Suki) who personally made a whole new plate with the correct order in the kitchen and packed it up for my nephew. I was amazed and very impressed with the service. I definitely would highly recommend this location and don’t be scared to tell them any problems you have because they will do their best to resolve it. We all walked out of there super happy. Oh and the guy making our food in front of us ( Tony) he was so funny lol he kept us laughing and cooked the food well! We will definitely return for another celebration ♥️ ☺️

Ordered 9 plates for a corporate luncheon. All 9 plates were not prepared as ordered. Ordered combination lunches that only came with 1 protein. Carrots were added to orders explicitly requesting none. Chicken was rubbery with some pieces inedible. Total was $255.

Kobe is typically thought of as more of an upscale option for teppanyaki/hibachi style meals. I will 100% not ever use this company for business or personal means. I’ve been to the other location in Smithfield, and noticed the decline in quality there as well.

Spend half the amount for better food somewhere else. If 0 stars were possible, that’s what I would rate Kobe Steakhouse. Two thumbs way down.

We eat here regularly and I was very disappointed in the changes that have been made recently. Apparently they are combining menus with another restaurant. I always order the Soba noodles with chicken. They used to come with mixed vegetables, little corn, zucchini, broccoli, peppers, etc. The last two times the soba noodles have only had onions. This last time, it didn’t have the hibachi chicken, it had the thing sliced chicken like used at Chinese restaurants. Not near as good. I’m very disappointed and will likely not visit again if they are going to follow this new recipe….
