This may be my harshest critique yet and my worst experience with a to go order. This was my first time ordering here and I had compared it to the Kobe Japanese Grill from my hometown in Tampa. Let me tell you, this was NOTHING like it. This was an absolutely waste of money. So let’s clear some things up. Attached to my review is a picture of my to go “chicken hibachi” that cost $23. For starters, the online menu when ordering does not state the chicken will come in whole tender strip form or that no noodles would be included. My meal was just a watery mess. Upon further read after I received my meal, the direct menu from dining in the restaurant states you will only receive noodles for Dine In only. So why am I paying $23 for a to go item that gives me less food when I could pay the same for dining in & get more food?? The food lacked flavor, lacked any sort of “grill” or sautee and was just a sloppy steamy watery mess in my to go box. The yum yum sauce is also not true yum yum. Very disappointed in this experience and would never waste my money here again. **I also attached a picture of the bento box (which is what I thought my chicken for hibachi would look like) & the last picture for reference is to what I am used to my hibachi looking like**

I came to this vKobe Japanese Grill for my birthday lunch, and had an okay experience. The food was decent, and the flavors were good, but the overall experience was a bit disappointing. The service from the front of house staff was lacking, with slow responses and not much attention to detail. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the drinks were served in plastic cups, which felt more like a fast food setting rather than a sit-down restaurant. It wasn’t terrible, but I expected a bit more for the price. I’d consider returning, but I hope they improve on service and presentation.

It was OK, but not great. The steak in my wife’s beef lo mein was very grisly. I ordered the Mongolian beef what’s the menu said was sliced ribeye steak. However, when I received my dish it was one piece of steak. When I asked the waitress about it she admitted she didn’t know the menu nor how my meal was supposed to come. The beef bulgogi which I did not order did not mention that it was sliced. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the right meal. Additionally, my meal was supposed to come with rice and I had to ask for that. The waitress was pleasant but not very attentive at times

walked into Kobe Ninja House as one person. I walked out forever changed.
This was my first time ever having hibachi, and I truly was not emotionally prepared. What I thought would be a normal dinner turned into a full-blown awakening. Fire erupted inches from my face. Knives flew through the air with purpose. An ONION became a VOLCANO. At one point I stopped chewing and just stared, questioning every life choice that led me to not experiencing this sooner.
The chef was performing feats I didn’t know were possible while simultaneously cooking the best food I have ever eaten. The steak? Perfect. The chicken? Unreal. The fried rice? I’m convinced it altered my brain chemistry. I was fed mid-air like it was casual. That moment will live rent-free in my mind forever.
Time lost all meaning. I forgot who I was before this meal. I forgot what I used to think good food was. Every bite felt like a revelation. Every flame felt symbolic.
The staff was incredible, the energy was electric, and by the end I was full, stunned, and spiritually reborn. I now measure my life in two eras: before hibachi at Kobe Ninja House and after.

This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. My waitress was phenomenal on Saturday, but us along with 3 others dining had to beg for the heat to be turned up and they refused. I was shaking my entire meal and on top of that, I asked to switch tuna for crab on my sushi roll (the sweetheart was 50 cents less that had crab, too) and the guy said hed have to charge us an extra 5 bucks lol like in what world, buddy? Our veggies were also not cooked so that was pretty disappointing. We spent $70+ just to freeze and eat half cooked food. It was our celebration lunch, too. SO disappointing. I’ll never dine at this location again. Shout out to our waitress, though. She was so great and tried her best. Bless her for working for a bunch of jerks.

Food was good. I decided to be adventurous and this place was it. The food overall was good. The service was pathetic. Walked in and the host was polite but the server had an attitude. She was nice to everyone else there but rude to my party. The server is the only reason it isn’t 5 stars.

Had a great time here. Huge portions. The show was fun. Fun to watch him make our food and interact with us. We brought 4 containers of food home. The best steak I’ve had in a while from a restaurant. The lobster and shrimp was so good. We will definitely be back soon.

This review comes after three separate visits to this restaurant, and unfortunately, each one has been disappointing. Our most recent visit on April 27, 2025, was the worst yet — and the reason for this review.
We arrived around 2:35 p.m. and stood at the front desk where two employees ignored us completely. No greeting, no eye contact. After about three minutes, one finally said he’d be “right with us.” Still no hello or acknowledgment. When he finally returned, he told us it would be a 5–10 minute wait while he cleaned off a table.
Once seated, we waited several more minutes before our server, Lindsay, came by to say she’d be with us shortly. She dropped off two waters — which honestly tasted like sewer water — and walked away again. By the time she came back to take our order, it was nearly 2:57 p.m. My husband’s beer arrived, but she forgot my Pepsi. I had to ask again before finally receiving it several minutes later.
We ordered the orange chicken lunch special with rice, soup, and salad to share. The chicken and rice arrived lukewarm, with no soup or salad ever brought to the table. The chicken itself was rubbery and undercooked — completely inedible.
To make matters worse, when I asked for a refill on my Pepsi, Lindsay picked up my glass with her fingers inside the rim and set the same glass back down, straw still in it with lipstick marks. That is absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable.
We left most of our food untouched and our patience completely gone. Our two previous visits were also marked by poor service and bad food, but this final experience sealed it for us. We let our server know exactly why there was no tip — she charged us for items we never received, and what we did get was terrible.
We normally tip 25–30% when dining out, but this experience was beyond disappointing. The overcharge can serve as her tip.
Never again will we eat here.
