Welcome to Kobe An LoHi. In addition to a full sushi and izakaya menu, our signature dish of “shabu shabu” is a traditional Japanese-style hot-pot meal.

Lovely homey Japanese style food but not the kinds you are usually used to having. Yes they have sushi and sake that are delightful! But the shabu shabu was completely new for us and was very easy to learn, so delicious, and was eaten all too quickly. We loved it and will be returning for more soon!
(I got do can’t up I’m eating I forgot to get photos before we finished the food, sorry)

We ordered Shabu Shabu, the Sukiyaki on one side of the pot was good but the broth on the other side was tasteless. Quality of meat was not bad but only two options were available – pork and beef.

Not a fan of 20% service fee that was automatically added to the bill and you can’t change it.

Worth a try at this place but not returning.

Warm and inviting staff! My friend and I sat at the bar and enjoyed the ribeye hot pot – so neat how they have an induction at each seat to keep the pot at optimal temp. The flavors of the traditional broth were great and loved all the add – in options provided to enhance flavors. The meat and veggies were so so fresh. Good portions too! Our server was extremely attentive and kind throughout meal. would be a great date night spot!

Got seated 20 minutes past reservation, took another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order, then another 20 minutes to bring out broth. Service was overall slow after that and the food was mid. Then to rub salt in the wound, they REQUIRE 20% tip. It’s almost as if requiring tip doesn’t give the staff any incentive to do a good job.

I have to say I was really disappointed in this restaurant tonight. I paid over $100 for a single roll, 4 pieces of nigiri and 2 drinks. The roll I ordered had some tempura in it, and the oil had a very strong taste, like it was old. On top of not enjoying the food, they added a 20% service charge on the already high priced check (the service charge was not gratuity). I’m not opposed to spending that kind of money for a nice dinner, but I would expect it to be high quality. I won’t be going back.

Very disappointed
We have to wait 30 mins before getting the table even it has been booked!

Don’t call Japanese foods, they are trash except shabu hotpot.
Sushi is very thin like a carefree tampon , dry and tasteless.
Wagyu burger is hmmmm no idea but the noodle as a bun is like overnight left over noodle!

Server can’t speak English …. I mean barely to understand, no serve skill or experience.

Not coming back

Food is amazing, and the happy hour specials are very good, however, the service was, well, weird.
While we sat and waited to order, only one other couple in the restaurant, the waitress for our table was doing side work, and afterward, kept forgetting to bring items we had ordered. She did not charge us the stated happy hour prices, on half of the items, when the bill arrived.
Overall it was a great experience, but at least one server needs some re-training and more attention to detail.

Ordered just a salad as I am a vegetarian and there were limited options. Everyone else at my table received their orders including sushi, cooked dishes, etc, and I was left waiting for more than 10+ minutes after the last person received their last dish before I got my salad. Awkward. On top of that, I had the pleasure of a 20% automatic included gratuity. No thank you. Salad was tasty, but $27 for a salad and a half a glass of wine, I am not returning.

Came here with 5 friends. It was a great atmosphere and while the service was a bit slow, it could have been that they just allowed us a lot of time for conversation and weren’t too pushy… which I appreciated. Food options were all good and the cocktails were well made also. Overall a good place for a date night or to come out with a small group of friends. Also had a nice patio but we were seated inside.

I’m not a big sushi eater, but this was a very pleasant sushi eating experience. I cast all caution to the wind and just went for it and had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back.
