The ambience and attention to detail throughout the restaurant are stunning. We started with cocktails that set the tone perfectly, followed by the unforgettable tako/octopus toasts, such bold, delicious flavors.
The nights special were beef ribs, a fantastic surprise — tender, rich, and impossible to stop eating. The ahi/snapper ceviche was one of the best tartare-style dishes I’ve ever had; those fried crackers were dangerously addictive!
The mafaldine pasta with the mushrooms was perfectly cooked and well seasoned!
The Westholme wagyu New York strip steak had incredible flavor from the grill — perfectly seared, juicy, and full of character. And to finish, the matcha tiramisu with white chocolate was the perfect ending — light, creative, and beautifully balanced.
A truly memorable meal from start to finish.
The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all incredible, but the service really set the night apart. A huge thank you to David, who was an exceptional server; he handled our large party with such care and professionalism. Everyone had a wonderful time.
From the delicious cocktails (like the one pictured!) to the excellent food, this is a “must-eat” spot. We will definitely be back!
booked this for a birthday meal, and while the atmosphere is nice, i would not spend $300 on this meal again. I do have to give credit to our server who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu.
The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is next level at affordable prices for a high end restaurant. Cocktails here are always fun and thirst quenching. The menu refreshes often but the staples remain such as whole fish, Lopes farm pork and dry-aged wagyu steak. Current go-to is ahi tuna, collard greens and ribeye. The rigatoni is so good here too. Always ask about the specials and save room for dessert. Great for my vegetarian friends as they only source fresh from local farms here in Maui. Whether you live in town or just visiting definitely put this on your to-do list. Check it out!
We ordered the Jidori Chicken and the wagyu pasta, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The chicken was incredibly tender and packed with deep, well-developed flavor, easily some of the best chicken I’ve had in Hawaii. The wagyu pasta was equally impressive, with a rich, savory depth balanced by a natural sweetness from the tomatoes that tied everything together seamlessly.
The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the meal was extremely satisfying, with generous portions that felt more than worth the price.
If you’re looking for at least one fun, memorable place to check off as a win on your Maui trip, this is absolutely the one. It’s a true hidden gem, and I’m so glad we came across it during our visit.
The knowledge the service team had regarding every element of the menu, wines, and their specials was extraordinary; the whole experience they created felt special. As someone who does not live on Maui, I would highly recommend Koast over some of the more infamous spots with thousands of reviews.
The food was exceptional.
Ordered:
– Heart of palm + celery Caesar
– Crispy Calamari
– Crispy fried potatoes
– Chicken piri piri
– Rigatoni with wagyu ragu
All were extremely flavorful and delicious!
The restaurant setting was picturesque at sunset, modern, and unique. We’d be regulars if we could. Don’t miss a chance to eat here; highly recommend.
