Our journey began with a vision to offer quality food, great beer, and cocktails at
reasonable prices with a fun place to hang out. In 2011, we opened our cozy
neighborhood pub, and five years later in 2016, we expanded with the
addition of a game area, a second bar, and an outdoor backyard and introduced our
own in-house craft brewery and tasting room.
You’ll find our family-friendly gastropub and brewery located in San Diego’s vibrant
downtown East Village neighborhood. Join us to dine, drink and socialize Or watch your favorite sport team on our 18+ TVs. You can also enjoy a few games of darts,
shuffleboard, or cornhole with friends. We even have thought of your furry friend with 2 dog-friendly outdoor patios. Come get Knotty with us!
Laid-back gastropub pairs more than 100 types of beer with creative, locally sourced American eats.

If you’re tired of the pretense and touristic nature of much of the Gaslamp, try Knotty Barrel.
KB is an old school, neighborhood gastropub with great burgers, fries, wings, and beer.
Mike Truty was with us and he went on one of his anti-ocean rants. I mean, I like the guy but who is actually _against_ the ocean?
I really can’t stress the fries enough. They are thin and crispy and super delicious. Try and sit in Robbie’s section. He’s funny and cool.

Only able to have a drink but had to say the staff was excellent, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Others said food was good! If you are ever looking for a group gathering spot it’s a worthy choice. If anything check out the unique urinals just don’t tap them

Perfect spot before a Padres game to get a beer and some food. It did not disappoint.
Burger was juicy and flavorful; best I had on my trip to San Diego. Chicken strips were quick and easy to pair with a nice beer selection.
Friendly staff makes it a perfect pregame spot

Love this place! It’s our east village spot. Excellent food options and drinks, a great outdoor venue, fun indoor bar, great service…and a fun happy hour. Monday HH was a $12 burger. See photo. If you want a single patty, I believe it’s $8….plus: They have one of the best French fries IMO.

Great place to watch the games on Sunday!! Bloody Mary was on point and food was great!!
We had the fried pickles appetizer and shared the Parmesan chicken sandwich with tots! (Parmesan added to those bad boys too)
Great service too!! Missed pic of the sandwich, ate it up too quick. First time here and we will definitely be back!!

A fun sports bar with consistently great food! Def give the barbecue a try. I’ve been here many times and would go just for the food even if not drinking. I love coming here when I want to avoid the super packed bars in the gaslamp district, but still want the energy of a sports bar while watching a game. They also have their own brewery next door, and serve some of the beer that they brew there at the bar. Staff is always friendly. Highly recommend!

I’ve walked by this place on my way to the kebab shop, which is right behind it and always wanted to stop and give it a try. It looks really good. Well, I finally did it and I’m so glad I did another very favorite restaurant in San Diego. The food is amazing, or at least the food I’ve had so far by myself and with friends. All of us loved their food and are definitely coming back. Tonight’s meal is the Knotty Burger, an amazing burger, and I substitute the french fries for their tater tots, who can go wrong with tater tots when they’re done right. . It’s the kind of place you wanna come back to to try their other stuff . Really good!!!!

Great local spot! It may be referred to as an east village location but it is just a few blocks from heart of Gas lamp area. $10 Bloody Marys are very tasty and a great value!
