Classic fried seafood with some baked options and a Mexican additions on the menu.

Everything is good and fresh.

This place is the longest running restaurant in Phoenix for a reason.

Great taste. Kinda a bad neighborhood.

Get the one piece meal and substitute hush puppies for the chips. Fries are just average. Get the oysters and shrimp cocktail.

Absolutely delicious!!!! I ordered a plate of fish n chips and it was absolutely delicious. It was breaded perfectly to the amount of fish that each piece contained. Each piece was a decent size and tasted great. Fish was very moist and well cooked. The “chips” we cooked very well also and were also delicious.

Their customer service and the atmosphere was great. They had a fountain drink area where you could refill your drinks and also a sauce bar with tartar sauce, ketchup, ranch and cocktail sauce options so you could get as much sauce as you needed. You could even pay to take a good amount home.

The tartar sauce was also absolutely delicious and some of the best I’ve ever tasted.

I will be back to explore their menu.

First time here, ate with a friend on their recommendation. I had the broiled cod with fries and fried zucchini. The fish was delicious. The zucchini could have been in the fryer 2 more minutes, it wasn’t quite done. But over all great place.

The food was disappointing , over priced and not seasoned at all. I had the 6 piece shrimp and chips. I have never had a shrimp that was split in half and each half was sold as a over battered, rubbery shrimp. The batter was so thick around the shrimp, crispy on the outside and wet dough on the inside with a tasteless piece of rubber shrimp. The chicken strips my other family member had was ok the onion rings was ok . I will never recommend them to anyone.

If you’re craving authentic Ohio River-style fried fish, this spot hits the mark. The portions are generous—thick, hearty fillets that make every bite satisfying and definitely worth the price. The restaurant is easy to reach, with plenty of parking, making it convenient for a quick stop or a casual meal. The staff are warm and welcoming, adding a friendly touch to the experience. The fish comes out golden and crispy, cooked just right, and pairs perfectly with the classic sides. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a great place to enjoy a comforting, no-frills seafood meal. The combination of quality food, ample servings, and approachable service makes it a standout option for anyone in the mood for freshly fried fish.

Hey, I gave it 5 stars, but what do I know? I’ve only lived the last 32 years in Alaska. Any place that uses wild Alaskan cod is good in my book. When I cook cod or halibut I invariably overcook it, leaving it dry. My cod was cooked perfectly. As Gordon Ramsay would say, it was glistening. Was it as good as Cod you would get in the North of England or Sitka, Alaska? No. But I prefer beer batter. The coating was more of a southern catfish type coating (I abhor catfish … If I had seen catfish instead of cod on the menu, I would have walked out). The service was very friendly and accurate, the place is clean and business is steady. Coleslaw was creamy and fries were hot and not overcooked, perfect for soaking up malt vinegar. Thank you for serving sustainable wild Alaskan seafood. (One point off for the weird, over breaded shrimp.)

This place is awesome! It has been there for decades. We had not been there in quite some time. Ended up close and saw it was still open. Was concerned based on some negative reviews. We went in anyway. Gal at the counter had been there since the last time we went. This place is unique and always has been. It is not a five star dining area. It is what it has always been. Good hot food served at a good price. We enjoyed the fish and chips. Onion rings tasty too. Fun atmosphere. Good customer service without an attitude. Tables and floor were clean. Did I mention the food was hot and right out of the fryer when they called our number? Condiments tasted fresh. You fill your own drinks. We found nothing to complain about. We will go back the next time we are in the area. Hopefully it will not be as long of a wait as this last time.
