This was a good choice after a Univ. of MD game ~9pm. Lots of seating and very personable service from Larue (sp?).
1/2 lb pulled pork was mostly tender and moist (some edge pieces were overdone-dry). The sausage platter included excellent spicy Italian and chorizo, average Mac’n cheese and crunchy hush puppies. We enjoyed trying 6 bbq sauces, preferring the sweet bourbon and honey habanero.

Had an amazing experience at Kloby’s Smokehouse and Whiskey Bar! The food was fantastic, with perfectly smoked meats and delicious sides. Our attendant, Carissa, was absolutely great—super attentive, friendly, and made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for great BBQ and awesome service!

Delicious BBQ platters and great service
There was no wait for our party of 4 on a weeknight and our waiter was super nice and very funny! We enjoyed the appetizers (catfish bites and pork belly deviled eggs) a lot too.
The combo platters are enough for two people if neither of you eat a lot! I really enjoyed the pulled pork and wet brisket (lean was very dry). The wings were tasty but also kind of dry, but all of the sides and sauces were very delicious
They also have an ice cream counter inside that’s connected to the restaurant! I know I’ll be back again to try some sandwiches and other bbq plate combos in the future

The food was really good but took long to come out. Brisket nachos would have been perfect if they paired it with a better cheese sauce. The cheese sauce tasted like it was from the can. I would get it again but all for real cheese next time.

Decided to try this BBQ place out with a carry out order. Called the order in and was told to come for pick up in 15 minutes. When I arrived, was nicely greeted and directed over to the carry out register. After checking my order, the woman asked what sides we ordered for one of the platters. The brisket platter had the brussels sprouts and hush puppies as sides (clarified), and the pork rib platter had the Mac&cheese and collard greens as sides. Once this was straightened out, there was a moderate wait (almost as if they were only then assembling the order). It was definitely not ready for pick up. Finally left with the order, it was correctly filled. The serving sizes was decent. The brisket was definitely dry (which is one of the options on their menu, though not what we prefer, we will have to study their menu if we repeat), the brussels sprouts were excellent, hush puppies good. As for the pork ribs, they were tender and moist, excellent. The Mac & cheese was satisfying but nothing special. The collard greens were very salty, couldn’t even finish them. So mixed reviews on the food, some aspects were great, others not to our liking. The carry out process was a bit lacking – but maybe could be attributed to the “off” hour on a Saturday (3:30 pm).
Update: Feb 26, 2025. Much improved carry out experience. The order was ready for pick up on arrival and the items were all there. Pork spare ribs and moist brisket with brussel sprouts sides, Mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries. All were great!

Great place for bbq or anything meat related. Creative menu that is outstanding. Great grilled wings. The food has been consistently good since the new owner Jeremy took over a couple of years ago. Very good beer selection and bourbon. Can’t go wrong here

I was very excited to try this place because of its reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was a bit disappointing. I ordered the pulled pork platter and my friend had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was average. It actually tasted better when I got home and added my own barbecue sauce (didn’t like their sauces). I did, however, enjoy the green beans and cornbread. That cornbread was YUM. I ordered a grapefruit crush and my friend had an orange crush. We ordered a bananas foster bread pudding to go, which wasn’t bad. Overall, our server was great, but I’ve had better BBQ… and I’ve had worse. This experience was definitely middle of the road.

First time coming to this establishment. The food was EXCELLENT! Service AMAZING!! The drinks we ordered were DELICIOUS!! Emily took care of us and her personality was just amazing! Thank you so much for making us feel comfortable. There was a guy who originally sat us at our table (owner or manager), sorry we didn’t get your name. But we wanted to personally thank you, hopefully you’re there the next time we come. Our table was amazing 🙂 we ordered the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes 10/10 chipotle brisket burger with fries 10/10 Drinks-Heavy Seas 10/10 and Apple Pie Martini 10/10
