Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya (Capitol Hill)

Social Profile:

Kizuki Ramen’s philosophy is to serve the most traditional, authentic and delicious Japanese ramen that you can possibly have without actually flying to Japan. Kizuki’s food is still prepared the same way as it is in Japan; utilizing an unique method of roasting bones before boiling. Similar to the French style of making consomme, they were the first in the Japanese ramen industry to employ this method. The result is a rich, flavorful broth that is fragrant, and full of depth. Devoted to replicating the incredible flavor of traditional Japanese ramen, if equal substitutes for ingredients are not found within the country, Kizuki Ramen imports the ingredients directly from Japan.

Hip venue serving Japanese noodle soups & small plates, plus whiskey, sake & beer amid artful decor.

Great place. Love that they have a wait time system reward in place to encourage people and groups to come.

Sad that they were out of a lot of stuff like all the milk tea drinks and no more maze soba but there was a picture on the tv.

Got the garlic noodle ramen and it was really good.

The veggies are very fresh. The size of the meal is big and tasty. I liked the sauce on fried chicken with salad. The house made tea taste good too! Hojicha flavor

I was given a gift card here, so I decided to stop in for lunch—it was absolutely delicious. I had the Spicy Ramen bowl (regular heat), and it was the perfect amount of spice for me. It gives a nice kick, but not enough to set your mouth on fire. I came on a Friday afternoon—it wasn’t busy, it was very calm, and my food was ready within 3–5 minutes of placing my order. The staff were friendly and helpful when I was choosing what to order. I would definitely come back again.

I ordered delivery & it was perfect! All my items were included in a cute delivery bag & nothing spilled. They made sure to mark which ramen broth was the low sodium one, which was especially important for me (the ripped labels in that pic are my doing–removed my info). The prawn cutlets are my favorite thing to order from here, but honestly I’m really impressed with how good everything tastes. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

Food came quickly and was really tasty! We got the tonkatsu and shio ramen (both with less sodium) and they were flavorful yet not too heavy. Nice ambiance as well.

Without a doubt, the BEST ramen I have ever had in my life. I traveled to Seattle for a convention, and for the brief time I visited, I ate here for dinner TWICE because that’s how good it was. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Don’t let the wait times intimidate you, the food is WORTH it! Highly recommend the Yuzu Shiyu Ramen!

Visiting town from Chicago with my husband. The best ramen we’ve ever eaten! Nothing could beat the chicken rich ramen. Kim was so kind and welcoming us warmly. Thank you!

Ramen price isn’t extraordinary. We ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen ($18) and kids rice set ($10). The ramen broth smells so good and consisted also of fish. I’d say it’s worth it.

Service is slow. Even if you get a table, it takes a while to flag down staff for the order. Then the order itself takes a while (20 min+).

It can get crowded, but there’s an online waiting list you can put your name for. Or just come as early as it opens.

The garlic tonkotsu ramen – marvelous Rich and full broth, noodles cooked just right, and the soft boiled egg was delicious. Highly recommend. Also, the cold house sake is a great addition to the meal. Don’t miss this place.
