This place used to be called Macca Tree. The parking is free, easy, and plentiful. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and patient. I ordered brown stew chicken, rice & peas and steamed veggies, with a cream soda.

The cream soda was delicious. The chicken was bland. It didn’t taste authentic at all. It was dry and was missing something. I think they used browning in the bottle instead of browning the sugar in a pan. I didn’t taste any tomato or Ketchup in the sauce either. The chicken definitely could’ve been better. The rice was dry, which is weird. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced dry rice before. And the veggies were blah. Hopefully, I caught them on a bad day and this is not a representation of what they are truly capable of. ‍♀️

Affordable, large portions, and super friendly staff. My best friend took me to lunch here, and I have back been almost every day since. I have treated my coworkers here and they loved the food. There’s 3 lunch specials to choose from for less then $6 from 11:00-3:00 p.m. on weekdays. You can enjoy nice music videos while you wait. It’s always a pleasure each visit. I have only tried the curry chicken and jerk chicken with peas and rice, if course topped with oxtail gravy. I’m not a rice eater, but their rice isn’t too dry or too mushy. It’s just right!!

Catered food for my event and everything was delicious. The Mac and cheese was delicious, the jerk chicken was juicy and taste great. Wings were flavorful. They had everything ready on time and the customer service was great. Great food, I will be coming back for sure

The jerk chicken did not disappoint. Straight from the grill to my mouth. The sauce is a little bit spicy but the good spicy.

I’m really let down. On April 6, 2024, I picked up a catering order for rice and beans, jerk chicken, and brown stew chicken. The food was incredibly disappointing, clearly rushed and poorly made. It completely ruined the baby shower, and to top it off, I didn’t even get a refund. If you enjoy the taste of nursing home food, then this place is perfect for you.

I’ve been here 3 times in total within a week. My first visit was during the afternoon and I didn’t think I’d return because 1 of the young ladies working had such a terrible attitude. I purchased a curry chicken lunch for $4.82. Be prepared for 3 little pieces of chicken. I’m not necessarily complaining because it is cheap and tastes really good. My last 2 visits were in the morning. Bad attitude is never there then. I am a fan of the grouper head so it’s all I buy ($9.63). I uploaded a pic so everyone can see what you can get with it. It’s really good in my opinion. They give you a lot of food too. They are good at resolving any issues you may have with your food and it’s pretty clean inside. I always recommend.

I have been asking around for a good Jamaican restaurant for over 2 weeks and I landed this one by way of my colleague who is a Haitian woman. She told me I need to try this place out and she bragged about it. Today I decided I will fall in and I am glad I did. The food is excellent the rice superb. The plantains were like butter ice cream. The oxtails were tender and seasoned to perfection. The Cabbage had a very good twist with the peas and the carrots included. The brown stew chicken with skinless and I love that even more. Please whoever the chef is never change or try to expand or make anything different. It’s fine just the way it is. I give this a five stars because my husband is a chef and if his pallet says yes then this is very good cuisine. Keep up the good work.
