I came for sushi and accidentally had a spiritual experience…
Let’s start with the plot twist: the sirloin steak. At a sushi restaurant. I know. I judged it too. But this steak showed up like it had something to prove. Perfectly cooked, juicy, seasoned like it went to culinary finishing school.
Then the fall off the bone Korean beef short ribs arrived and basically whispered, “Relax, we got this.” I barely looked at them and the meat surrendered. Tender, rich, dramatic in the best way. If comfort food wore a tuxedo, it would be these ribs.
Now let’s discuss the CLEAR SOUP. How is something so simple so elite? It’s like they distilled flavor itself. One sip and I felt healed. Hydrated. Emotionally stable. It’s the kind of soup that makes you sit up straighter and reconsider your life choices.
And the sushi rolls? Absolutely ridiculous. Fresh, balanced, and rolled tighter than my budget before payday. Every bite was clean, flavorful, and dangerously addictive. I told myself I’d share. I lied.
But the real MVP? ANDREA!
Andrea ran that dining room like a five star general of hospitality. Attentive without hovering, funny without trying too hard, and somehow always appeared right when we needed something. Water low? Boom. Extra sauce? Already on the way. Emotional support after I ordered too much food? Present.
Between the steak flex, the ribs melting into legend, the soup restoring my soul, and sushi that deserves its own fan club, this place is officially in my regular rotation. Go hungry. Leave happy. Possibly reconsider all other sushi restaurants.

My husband had the chops. They were too salty but very soft. Veggies had too much salt. Soup was good. Good fries. My seared tuna costal rolls we salty. Pumpkin cheese cakes was good. Blood Orange Jalapeño margarita was missing the spiciness from the Jalapeño. Salad was pretty good. Good service. Plenty of parking.

Everything was perfect except the restaurant was really dirty. The cups and tables and forks. Me and my husband’s waters had something floating in the water. Other than that the food was good. Won’t be back tho because a dirty dining room means it’s filthy in the kitchen

The food is excellent. Our server was terrific. We were seated in the back room which was not great. Overall we enjoyed the experience but be careful when ordering some of the extras. Especially the salads. Our server offered us a salad to go with our entree’s. Shame on us for not asking the prices. When I got the check I was shocked to see one “side” salad charge was 16 dollars and 2 others were 18. Kitaro is already high end and expensive but these prices for salads were excessive. We did not complain and paid the bill but we probably won’t return. If we do, we will be wary of any extras pushed on us by the server. Make sure you know the prices when they upsell you. 18 bucks for leaves and dressing is outrageous.

I really enjoyed myself. The decor is beautiful. Great date spot. Definitely a hidden gem in my opinion. No complaints with service. I forget the young lady’s name but she made recommendations and it was appreciated. The sushi was fresh and delicious. My friend had the sea bass and it was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the short rib. It had great flavor and falling off the bone! I forget the drinks but they don’t skip on the alcohol. My only complaint is the booths are too small. There’s no leg room underneath.

really disappointed with the low rating here, i have been to the shop a few times before and was very satisfied with the previous waiters here, but that day was the day i felt bad, what a pity. this is my favorite sushi shop and that day i came with my friend, we ordered but the waiter was almost inexperienced, he didn’t understand what i wanted and called for help the first time was a man who could be the chef, the second time was an asian woman who could understand my language, i have no complaints about those 2, they were really nice, but about the young man, i felt like he didn’t want to serve our table and was reluctant to bring out the food, it felt like we were discriminated, me and my friend were really sad that day, my friend doesn’t want to come here anymore, i thought i would come back but he is no longer serving.

I recently stumbled upon this lovely gem of a restaurant, and I must say, it was a marvelous experience from start to finish.

The interior decor is both pleasant and beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. The service was top-notch, our server Caleb made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit.

We started with a selection of appetizers including the asparagus tempura, the tuna tartar, and the lobster tempura. All the appetizers were beautifully plated and favorable.

For our entrées, we chose the Crabby Joe and Lemon Salmon Rolls, both of which were plated beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. The Korean-styled Chirashi and Sashimi Fifteen were equally impressive, featuring incredibly fresh fish that was delicious.

We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Went here for our anniversary. I LOVED it. The food was fabulous. The drinks were fabulous. The crab rangoon was probably the best I’ve ever had. I got the Hawaiian roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and the 2 autumn themed cocktails. My husband isn’t big on sushi or fish, so he didn’t dig the menu choices, but it was everything I was hoping for. I just need to find a friend who enjoys sushi as much as I do so I can go back in the near future.

First time here. Came around 2:30p. Viewed the menu online first anticipating the lunch menu. Once I arrived I was told that lunch ended at 2:15p. Pretty odd time to end lunch. It was pretty empty in the restaurant but it still took awhile to order and receive the food. Kitaro is pretty expensive for what they are giving you. You are better off going to Sakura bowl in highland. Then I was told they don’t accept visa gift cards, because apparently “our machines have trouble with them going through” then I proceeded to ask could you try? And the server said no. Overall average place trying to be upscale. Don’t plan on returning. Waste of time and money. Also left unsatisfied with the food.
