Today, I had the pleasure of eating at Kitani Sushi, located near Cumming, Georgia. The place is cozy and has a very traditional Japanese feel—it’s not very big, but that’s what makes it charming. The restaurant is run by an Asian family, and the service was excellent.
The food was very fresh and flavorful. I tried the Tuna Tower, a Shrimp Tempura Roll, and a Dragon Roll—all of them were delicious and prepared with great quality. The freshness really stood out, and the flavors were well-balanced.
It’s definitely a spot worth returning to, and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience in the area.

this is truly the best sushi i’ve had anywhere. this is mine and my now fiancé’s favorite place in the world. they have remembered us and know how much I love ginger!! they are the best family ever. it’s our favorite date night and we will definitely be coming here for years to come

We went here to celebrate and it was a great decision! We have been here several times and have ALWAYS been pleased! Today was no exception. We arrived shortly after they opened at 5 pm and there were already a few people there. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, btw. We always sit at the end of the bar and watch the amazing sushi chef make rolls. One of the specials is an appetizer called double tuna. It is excellent. Do NOT put the tuna chunks in soy sauce. Just eat them as presented. Its just a wonderful friendly please to go and indulge!

Ordered a few rolls and a bento box. Everything was good. The fried rice was okay. Service was nice but she forgot some things we asked for so we had to remind her. But overall it’s a decent place. The rice to filling ratio is good.

Kitani is not a rushed, hustle and bustle restaurant. It is a relaxed dining experience, so plan accordingly. It’s a family run business and the service is impeccable! They will remember your name and your preferences if you come a few times. The ingredients are all so fresh and it’s a beautiful presentation. 100% recommend.

We go here for the sushi, the loving owners who work so hard, and the chilled white wine with large pours. Seriously this place is a phenomenal family restaurant. This is the place you go to relax. Don’t go here in a hurry cause you won’t enjoy the family experience. We love Ting, Tim, and Mr. Lee. Oh… we love asking Mr. Lee to make us a surprise roll.
