We had to wait, just over 15 minutes, for seat; but it was well worth the wait.
Our first time here, and we left with a smile, and a plan to keep coming back.
The customer service, is amazing! The entire staff, made us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere is very much a feeling of being at a big family gathering.
The food is amazing! From the biscuits, to the main course, every bite was savory. The kinda of food that feels like a lot of attention,(love), was used to prepare your made-to-order dish. We will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu. A definite go-to place, if you’re not in a rush. Nobody tries to hurry you along, like other places. We highly recommend this wonderful, somewhat hidden gem.

Where do I even start?! When I first walked in the hostess was warm and welcoming. I also had a server (Nay) with great customer service, who was attentive and helpful during the selection of food/bev items. I ordered the Kiss my Gritz breakfast w/ a side of spinach and everything was flavorful and the food came out hot. I love how nothing was overly seasoned but still tasted delicious. I also ordered the chai latte w/oatmilk which was tasty as well. A 10/10 pick that will leave you satisfied and feeling valued as a customer. I will definitely be coming back!

Great food! Great super friendly staff with amazing attitudes. Nay was our awesome server, but we had the privilege of interacting with Jas, and Chrissy who were both phenomenal. Chef even stopped by the table to listen to our feedback. He’s an hands on owner that sets the standard for a restaurant with a unique/pleasant vibe all around. The catfish&grits, pancakes, biscuits, and sweet potato bread pudding were so good I’d slap somebody for it. I’m from New Orleans so I know good catfish&brrad pudding. Awesome experience! We will be back! 1-10-26
Updated: Came back today on Sunday 1-11-26, and had the cookies&cream bread pudding as well as the butter pecan bread pudding. We were initially going to get it to go, but had to sit down to have more catfish&grits when we were told we’d have a table in 20 minutes. Bottom line: I’d slap somebody for those bread puddings too!

My family and I are new to the area from out of state. When we looked up brunch this was one of the first spots I found, and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to experience it. Major kudos to our server Deon. All of his recommendations were spot on especially the beignets. I never had them before but I will see these were perfect. I love a restaurant where I don’t need to ask for sauce, salt & pepper, nothing extra was needed. It was perfect. It was an absolute pleasure to meet the owner and learn the history of his love for food and cooking. It was great that the full menu was available when we went and everything came out fresh!!! I give Kiss My Grits two thumbs up!!! A very nice vibe inside where music was playing but it wasn’t so loud to where you can’t have conversation. And I can’t wait to try them again. A slight word of caution, get there early or you might be waiting a while during peak times.

Kiss My Gritz absolutely deserves every one of its five stars! The highlight of my meal was the truly amazing Catfish and Grits, a flawlessly executed dish featuring perfectly seasoned catfish and creamy, delicious grits. Our server, Deon, provided exceptional service; he was incredibly attentive to all our needs and offered some fantastic suggestions that enhanced our experience. The commitment to quality here is palpable, not just in the food, but in the service as well.
The evening was made even more special when the chef and owner personally visited our table to shake my hand and share the story behind the restaurant. This level of personal connection, combined with the outstanding food and the top-tier service from Deon, cemented my experience as a five-star one. I highly recommend Kiss My Gritz to anyone looking for incredible soul food and a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!

My experience at The Kiss My Grits was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with warm greetings for every guest who entered. The service was attentive, genuine, and created an atmosphere that felt both inviting and family-oriented.
The drinks set the tone perfectly — the latte coffee and Frappuccinos were absolutely to die for, rich in flavor and crafted with care. For my meal, I ordered the Kiss My Grits Breakfast, which included creamy grits, perfectly cooked eggs, and my choice of meat. To make it even better, I added a side of pancakes topped with fresh fruit — fluffy, sweet, and full of flavor in every bite.
My spouse went with a true Southern spread: crispy fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, yams, and collard greens. Each dish was seasoned just right, balanced with soul and comfort, and together it made for one of the most satisfying meals we’ve had in a long time.
Special recognition goes to Head Chef Rasul York, who not only oversees the kitchen but ensures excellence in customer service, food quality, and overall dining experience. His presence and leadership are felt in every detail, from the flavors on the plate to the welcoming energy of the restaurant.
I rarely give out perfect stars, but this restaurant exceeded every expectation I had. Without question, The Kiss My Grits is a 10/10 — a must-visit spot that I’ll gladly return to and recommend to anyone looking for a true culinary and hospitality experience.

I had such a great experience at Kiss My Grits! Our waitress, Nay, was amazing, friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I had the salmon and grits, and my mom had the catfish and grits both were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. We also tried the butter pecan and sweet potato bread pudding, and it was SO good! We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Oh my goodness! This spot was incredible. Best brunch of my LIFE! Deon greeted us with the best vibes & took amazing care of us from start to finish. We started with the beignets & they were seriously melt in your mouth phenomenal. I had the Catfish & Gritz & let me tell you, the flavors were INSANE. It was absolute perfection. My BF had fried chicken with biscuits, gravy, & egg & his was bomb too. 100/10 recommended if you want an actual culinary experience in a clean spot w/ fun ambiance. Keep it up, y’all, because we will be back for more next month when we’re in town again!

JAZ made this experience 1,000x better!! The food, the service, and everything was amazing! Thank you for the experience! I am a vegetarian and my husband is pescatarian! There is something for everyone! The grits were delicious! I would have liked for them to have a plant based “breakfast sausage” option but other than that 10/10.

Great spot for post flight meal… just a quick drive from the airport. The chicken and waffle had amazing flavor and crisp! Enjoyed the grits and fluffy egg with buttery biscuits. Took a red velvet bread pudding and beignets to go. Service was excellent and attentive. Will definitely come back!
