Awesome place. Didn’t seem like a “bar bar” although stocked well but more of a place the whole community gets together. The furniture and atmosphere were warm rustic, western with beautifully crafted wooden and leather bound furniture. Charles and kitty are charming polite and above accommodating.

Had a great time! The new owners are so welcoming and friendly. The drinks were amazing and the food was awesome. The new owner gave us a tour and told us all about the history of the property. Overall, the best time and experience I have had at any restaurant and bar in many years. We will be back for sure regularly.

What a Great little diamond in the rough. The new owner/manager, Charles, was very friendly and hospitable, not to mention a good bar tender.
After we received our drinks we got a guided tour of the property which included up and coming plans.
It’s a fascinating place with quality people tending to it . We will definitely make another stop here to observe the progress.

Have been going here for about 5 years, since being acquired by Charles and Candy the steakhouse has taken on a lovely new vibe while retaining all the historic charm.

Swing in , have a drink and a bite to eat.
Show some love to the new owners and help continue keeping a piece of history alive.

Excellent place to go and just kick back and relax. The food, while having a limited menu at this time, is fantastic.

This has a very old saloon with a rich history so when you go be sure to ask about it. The new owner is very enthusiastic about the place and is putting in a lot of work improving it to increase customer satisfaction.

When riding out driving through, be sure to stop in and check it out. Drinks are cooks and the food is great!

Was there not very long ago and WOW…. what a gem of the old west! The owners, food, and atmosphere are great! I’m sensitive when it comes down to the paranormal, and there are definitely more than a handful of spirits still there. And I can tell you this, I saw a young lady wearing 1800s getup walk into the bathroom. I was there for an hour and didn’t see her at all and out of nowhere I see her walk into the womens room. It was the craziest thing. We met eyes before she walked into bathroom….I had chills go up and down my spine. Why I obviously know it was a ghost, she never came back out. After 15 minutes i even asked my fiancé to check the bathroom and of course, she was nowhere to be found…unless they have some kind of secret door lol. Like I said, I’m definitely very sensitive when it comes to spirit activity. It’s just weird how she looked like a solid person. I knew right away once i walked inside the place there was paranormal activity there. It didn’t feel negative at all though. Almost like energy from the 1800s just stuck there. I even heard music from that time playing for a few seconds when i was in the mens (cowboys) room. I would love to stay the night next time I’m out that way. If you’re into history, country vibes, or ghosts, you gotta check this place out!

New owners so don’t base your opinion on prior reviews. They have put so much work into this place yet kept the historic charm. We did not eat just stopped for drinks and to check it out. Owners gave us a tour of the cool places within it. They will have Airbnb rooms in the former brothel starting this week. Setting up the arena for a concert venue and plan to have events for bike week in April. New must stop for us.

This is the definition of a tourist trap. We’re from New Mexico we know kitschy old historic places. They are lovingly kept up and are clean and sanitary. This is not a steakhouse. At least not on a Wednesday in February. The menu we were given was not the same menu shown on the chalkboard in the photos that depicts their menu items at a little under $10. Add two more dollars for a little under $12 and then you have the real prices. The menu in the picture is shown on one side only which lists their hours and so forth. Turn it over and their real prices are revealed. The menus at the bar were filthy. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the cheese burger. The woman/owner/bartender warned my wife that the chicken sandwich had the base of a breaded frozen patty. My burger was the same. Both sandwiches were ok but not outstanding. It took about 30min to get our food once ordered. We were not offered water at any time during the meal. We were offered a drink at the bar for what I imagine would be full price. This is a little place to stop off for a beer or cocktail when touring the countryside around the location. This is not a current steakhouse and judging from the menu hasn’t been in at least a long time if ever. So if you’re thirsty and want a drink this is an interesting place. If you’re looking for a lunch spot keep driving and you will get much better food.
