Will definitely be coming back soon when I’m in Chinatown. The place was nice and clean and super attentive. The sashimi was super fresh and just a welcoming place with so many options of sushi to choose from. Me and my boyfriend got their Valentines course and it was beautiful. I got a rose when I was leaving out from one of the servers which was so sweet!! Thank you guys for the amazing experience.

*small and eh sushi roll

Sat for late lunch for 3. Good eel with avocado roll bc of the soft rice and fish. We got the salmon roll, dragon roll, rainbow roll, and eel. The quality of the fish is decent nothing special. Decent but curt service. Quaint and cozy place.

Truly a phenomenal place to get fresh sushi done in traditional format. The rice to fish ratio is expertly done here. A real testament to skill in sushi is how they make their Maki rolls and I am very impressed. I will definitely be coming back here again. Also the vegetarian options were abundant and also expertly done. I will definitely be coming back here as a regular.

The food was prepared to my satisfaction and was full of flavor. The atmosphere is vibrant and instantly transported me back to my visit to Osaka a few years ago. While the service was average and unremarkable, the unique design of the entrance stood out — understated and discreet, giving the impression the venue is closed. However, any seasoned foodie would recognize and appreciate the intentionality behind such a design choice.

Very nice authentic Japanese restaurant. We had takoyaki, sushi set, shrimp tempura roll, edamame and tonkotsu ramen. I think these were the best takoyaki I’ve ever had, in Japan or elsewhere.

Kirins House Restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with Edemame and the Dragon Fire roll. They were fresh and tasty. My husband had the Burning roll for his entree and I had the bento box with chicken and broccoli. My box had two sides of spring roll and gyoza.

Visited from NYC—so I eat a lot of good sushi. This place is phenomenal! The drinks, the apps, and the specialty rolls are so fresh and yummy. There’s a roll for everyone, and plenty of platters for larger groups too. Not to be missed if you’re in Philly!

Overall excellent sushi and tea, prepared quickly and well. The price was more than I would expect for the meal I received, but still reasonable.

One of the best Philly sushi shops I’ve been to. We went on a weekday when it wasn’t too busy. Food came out quick and service was great. Presentation and taste were on point. My girlfriend had the ramen while I had various sushi pieces. Highly recommended.

The udon soup, chicken or beef, was very flavorful and a large portion; none of friends could finish it. This is true with the bento boxes and the specialty sushi rolls. The speciality rolls are definitely intended to be shared or split.
