Dana, the owner of this restaurant went above and beyond.I had my son’s wedding rehearsal luncheon there the food was amazing. The staff was wonderful Dana, help plan the whole thing for 35 people. Everybody was so pleased with the atmosphere. The food and the service if you need to host a gathering. This is the place Dana The owner was beyond helpful if i could, I would give them 10 stars. Definitely. We’ll be back without a large party.

This place falls into the okay category for me. It’s not your typical Chinese restaurant, and it’s not exactly fusion either. The food is decent overall, with some dishes aligning with traditional Chinese flavors while others don’t quite hit the mark.

Service is fine, and the food is just okay—nothing remarkable. There’s nothing that makes me eager to return; it lacks that special something to set it apart. While it’s a passable choice if you’re in the neighborhood, there are likely more memorable dining spots worth exploring elsewhere.

Simple and clean decor with good warmth.
Fairly good food, though our choices: crab and corn soup, chow fun, and ma-por tofu didn’t wow me. The ma-por was probably the best dish. I’m guessing they were well executed but I was just hoping for more flavor.
Overall a good Chinese cuisine experience. Cool to have the Northern Chinese focus.

Best Chinese food I have ever had. Sizzling Rice Soup? To die for. Sauteed Brussels sprouts? Amazing. Everything is cooked with very little oil. The vegetable fried rice is so good. The food is more than worth the price. Definitely try this place if you’re looking for excellent Chinese food. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. My family and I will be back.

Old school Berkeley Chinese favorite a little bit more expensive and usually a cut above, in recent years has become a little dull and flavorless. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, and shrimp dumplings, both of which were flavorless, and the shrimp dumplings were a waste of time both times I ordered them. I hope they do better next time.

As always it never fails. Great food great drinks great service and good prices. We love this spot. The owners know us but she treats everyone just as nice and equally. Recommend to anyone who is looking for this cuisine.

Dined here for a Friday Lunch Memorial Service meal. Party of 10. The only diners in the restaurant. Food overall was barely warm. Taste basic. Price overly high. Atmosphere dark and dank. Restrooms the same. I was not paying for the meal, but would not recommend. Lived in the East Bay all my life and have dined on Solano Ave for years. There was a reason why I have never dined here and will not in the future.

It’s American-version Chinese food, not real Chinese food. The only good thing is the decoration, with a large window you can look into the kitchen. However. Since I can stare at the kitchen, I notice none of the chef is Asian. Maybe that’s the reason why the buns are stiff, the eggplant are flavorless, the chicken is deep fried.
