Kira thank you for treating my family & I so amazing yesterday! Everything was amazing from the hibachi, The hibachi show the food the sushi, the staff. Everything it was just amazing. This is why I will continue to come back!

I visited Kira Japanese Steakhouse for lunch with my family, and we had a great experience. My sister and I ordered the shrimp hibachi, while my brother went with the chicken hibachi. The portions were huge, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We also had the Kira sushi, it was good, pretty similar to a store bought one. The starter soup that came with the meal was especially good—light but full of flavor. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, it was an excellent lunch spot, and I’d definitely go back again.

We had a reservation last night and arrived about 20 minutes early. The host asked us to wait at the bar, which was totally fine but we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to get a drink.
However once we were seated at our table everything was amazing. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Our server was absolutely fantastic. The hibachi chef put on a great show and everything was cooked perfectly. The diamond roll was so good. Besides the food
What really stood out was how kind the server was to my grandma, who has dementia and kept wanting to talk to her throughout dinner. She was so patient, sweet and even witty every time she came by, never making us feel like a burden even though it was hectic and a busy night. She mentioned it was one of her last days there and honestly she went above and beyond. Thank you for making our night so much better we really appreciated it!

I ordered filet mignon medium rare and lobster. The food was good and we received generous portions. Service was good. However my filet mignon was well done. That was a disappointment.

The hibachi chicken was good but seemed like a lot of rice compared to not as much meat. And very light on the vegetables. Ginger sauce and teriyaki sauce were good. Spring rolls had nothing inside of them. It seemed like all crispy wrap and nothing in the middle. Kind of a rip off. And they’re extra tiny.

Nice restaurant tucked into a plaza.. the inside looks way better then what you would expect from driving by.. the food is good.. service was decent..I would go again.. prices are not that bad as well.. maybe not 5 star.. but for sure a go to if I’m on that area

Couldn’t stand this place, waited forever for a table, they skipped our name in line. Once we got to the table waited they got our drink orders and we waited another 20 mins before we ended up leaving. The waiter that took our drink order also said that if you were gonna order hibachi it would be extremely long wait. So we left, went home hungry

Kira Japanese Steakhouse was a nice surprise to find in Toledo. They offer a variety of menu options from sushi to hibachi.
They were quite busy as we dined in on a Saturday evening around 6. The staff were still very friendly and efficient. We only waited 10 mins for a table. The restaurant is split between the grill hibachi area or regular booth dining next to a bar. There is bar seating to wait at while they ready your table.
Our waiter was attentive and fast. They offer complimentary soup and salad with your entree which were both delicious. We ordered two sushi rolls and an appetizer and the wait time was maybe 15 mins. Both sushi rolls were fresh and had great flavor. Would definitely recommend the Kira roll.
Parking can be tight as the restaurant is located within a strip mall with a Chick Fil A next door. We were still able to find parking nearby even with how busy it was.
We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Went here with my husband to get out and have a dinner date before all the restaurant closures began and it exceeded my expectations. I’m giving 4 stars because we ordered the chicken wing appetizer and the chicken came out raw. We ended up ordering the Kira special for 2 and it was great. Our waitress, I wish I knew her name, was very kind, helpful and prompt with service. A dessert came with what we ordered and out of the two options she recommended (reese’s or raspberry cheesecake) she brought them both. Not sure if she did it because of the chicken being raw or just to be nice but either way it was appreciated. The raspberry cheesecake was delicious but I think my husband enjoyed the other one better. Will definitely be eating here again.
