Had an amazing experience here, we ordered the chicken zinger arba, chicken shawarma, and the beef shawarma salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy, the meat was flavorful and juicy, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The portions were generous and very satisfying

The baklava we had for dessert was fresh, soft, perfectly sweet, and flaky pastry and rich nutty filling. It tasted homemade and not overly sugary, imho just perfectly balanced

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better, there’s plenty of seating, a great variety of drink options, and it definitely seems like a popular spot (there were constantly people coming in and out the whole time we were there)

Overall, great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, we’ll definitely be coming back
Would highly recommend if you’re craving quality halal shawarma and Mediterranean flavors!

The food had good flavor, but unfortunately I didn’t feel well afterward and ended up having to go to the bathroom twice. The service also left a lot to be desired—the cashier and cook both seemed to have an attitude, especially the young man at the register. We dined in, but there were quite a few fruit flies around our table and food, which made the experience uncomfortable.

On top of that, the kabobs were burnt, which was really disappointing. For a $65 meal, I expected much better. The food made me feel so bad that I didn’t even want to finish it because I was worried about feeling sick again. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit despite the decent flavor of the food.

Shame that this place is in the middle of nowhere. I ordered the chicken kebab rice bowl, the beef gyro rice bowl, and a rice pudding to go. It did take them maybe about 15 minutes or so to make my chicken I’m guessing because they have to make it fresh (and it came out great). Presentation wise food looked great. The chicken kebab had char marks on it and tasted great. The rice was good. The salad that it comes with was a good palate cleanser. The garlic sauce was so good, made the dish taste even better. The beef gyro was very tender and moist. The beef plate also came with rice, garlic sauce, and a salad. The rice pudding was bland with a hint of vanilla, good overall but maybe it would benefit from some cinnamon or something. We also ended up getting a baklava to go! It was a nice dessert to all the food we got. Overall I really liked this place and their Arabic fast food concept. It’s similar to Halal Bros or Halal Guys. They’re just out of the way. If you live nearby UTA it may not be too bad of a drive. They’re also open late too which is unique.

We arrived in Dallas Texas for a work trip and the team needed a spot to come to and fuel back up. We stumbled upon Abu Omar since we wanted some Halal food. We were greeted so warmly and even though it was so late, they got the music back on and allowed us to eat and enjoy the comfort the atmosphere brings after our long day. Let me not forget to add, it was about 6 of us and each one of us walked out satisfied and full off of the Family Meal and an order of the rice bowl. 5 men 1 woman and we were good to go. Baklava 10/10 almost as good as my aunties. THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO GO HERE it is delicious.

I found myself at Abu Omar Halal to pick up two door dash orders this past week. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It smelled amazing in there. While, I waited on my order to be prepared I mentioned how wonderful the food smelled and the staff offered me a sample. The food was AMAZING! Definitely will be returning as a customer. I give it a 10 out of 10.

This was my first time trying shawarma and it was a fantastic experience overall! The staff were very friendly and excited for me to be experiencing their culture for the first time. I would definitely recommend eating here and of course, ending your night with some baklava.

Every Saturday after church, I come here with my family, and we always have a great experience. The place is always very clean, which we really appreciate.

I see the manager Ali and the worker Khalid working so hard every time we visit. They make the food nice, hot, and fresh, and they are always polite and friendly when talking to customers. They treat me and my family very well, which makes us want to keep coming back.

The owner of this store should truly bless and appreciate these two workers for their hard work and dedication.

This place has been great for a while but not anymore! It’s the third time that i order something and they don’t get my order right even IF I REPEAT 10 times and they AGREED to that! I ordered chicken shawarma they made it beef , i said NO ONIONS they put onions, i ordered rice bowl with chicken and NO ONIONS they made it with onions! I don’t know what is going on here hut definitely seems like someone else took this place and ITS GOING DOWN FAST , not coming here anymore to spend a dollar. This is NOT HALAL ANYMORE.

I recently visited Abu Omar Halal and had a great experience overall! The restaurant serves flavorful and authentic Middle Eastern halal dishes — from juicy chicken and beef shawarma to tasty lamb gyro plates. Many customers praise the generous portions and well-seasoned meats, especially the shawarma and kabobs, which are prepared fresh and packed with flavor.

Ive lived in Arlington for 4 years and I’ve been eating here for about a year and a half now and the food has gotten better. The staff are very friendly and welcoming . I live in New Mexico now and I make sure to stop by anytime I come back to Arlington. I usually go for the shawarma wrap(chicken /beef) or the quesadilla style(usually beef). I would definitely recommend this restaurant if u wanna try shawarma for the first time, be your go to spot or satisfy your shawarma craving.
