Ohhhh my goodness!!! Mediterranean dream at Kipos! I had the seafood stew but should have gotten the fish filleted table side as it looked and smelled amazing. My stew was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and the baklava cheesecake was unreal!! I had the grilled octopus and of course everyone wanted a sample… I only regret not ordering a few lol.

Seated at the bar. Excellent service, cocktails & dishes. Ordered the lamb chops & monk fish ( they were out of monk & substituted speckled trout) was delish & lamb was melt in your mouth tender! The portions were on the smaller side but the flavor made up for it. Overall good experience. Will try it again sometime!

Food was memorable and unique. Service was personal and fun.
Dessert (pictured) was rich and big enough to share.
Always a fun place to visit with heated outside dining options.
Wow!

Was here when they first opened in 2022 and it is still fantastic. Great service, atmosphere and food is outstanding. Terrific diverse selection of starters and main courses. The spicy feta is spectacular as is the seafood stew and beef rib. The Baklava cheesecake is a welcome alternative to very sweet traditional Baklava. Nothing will disappoint.

From start to finish, this place blew us away. It was hands-down the most memorable dinner we’ve ever had in Wilmington.

The magic started right at the door with Elena, the sweetest hostess who remembered it was my birthday and showed us a few different table options so we could pick our vibe. Such a thoughtful touch, and it instantly made the night feel special.

Then came Garret, our server — and wow. He was incredibly attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and made everything feel effortless and fun. We kicked things off with the Topsail oysters (so fresh, so good), then dove into two unforgettable entrées: lamb over couscous and salmon over a butternut squash purée. Every bite was next-level delicious.

The atmosphere? Absolutely beautiful. Cozy and stylish, with jazz playing in the back and a garden that Garret suggested we explore while waiting for our food — such a cool touch that made the experience feel even more unique.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the manager came by with a handwritten birthday card to wish me happy birthday. It was such a personal, thoughtful moment that made the night unforgettable.

We literally woke up the next morning still talking about it and already wanting to go back. Kipos is more than just a restaurant — it’s a full-on experience, and we can’t recommend it enough.

I came here on a Thursday around 6pm wanting to eat in the garden for my birthday. We were seated promptly and the front of house and our server Mary were very nice and accommodating.

I had octopus for the first time and it was amazing, with a garnish almost too pretty to eat. The short rib was so tender and full of flavor, and the tzatziki had such a perfect little touch. And the espresso martini, omg don’t even get me started.

One of the most memorable touches of my evening was something I’ve never experienced at a restaurant before, a handwritten birthday card from the house. That small gesture felt so personal and meaningful.

It’s rare to find a place that puts such genuine care into every detail, but they truly made me feel celebrated and appreciated. I will definitely be returning.

We loved this spot. We sat in the garden dining room and the vibes were great. We had an early reservation or we would’ve come before and got drinks at the outside bar which looked super cute.

We’re not big cheese people so we got the Melitzana dip to start. It was so flavorful but not overly heavily. We also got the brussels and the sauce on them was the perfect amount of sweet.

I can’t remember the names of our drinks but both were well balanced and not overly sweet.

For dinner we got the special grouper which was so complex. There was a cream mouse at the bottom and olives with a crust on the grouper. Flavors worked so well together and we both finished the whole thing.

Would absolutely be back we loved it!

We were a little underwhelmed after visiting Kipos for a special celebration. We made a reservation for 2 a couple weeks in advance mentioning how excited we were and the reason we were celebrating. We got seated next to an interior wall in the enclosed patio area with a large group beside us without the host or server mentioning the occasion. Okay, whatever, every table can’t be perfect, and I’m sure they get plenty of special occasions. Food and service were okay but neither blew us away like previous reviews led us to believe (we did like the lemon potatoes). When we got the final bill (after I had already provided my credit card), I was surprised to see a 3% extra credit card fee. The server didn’t disclose this fee and I didn’t see it anywhere upfront on the menu or website. If I had known I was being charged an extra ~$4 just to pay for my meal, I would have paid a different way. The principle of it and the lack of disclosure left a bad taste of my mouth after what was an otherwise okay – if a little disappointing – dining experience. Ultimately, we were looking for a romantic and intimate spot for a special dinner and wanted to like Kipos but felt it just missed the mark on our special night.
