KIO // KFC hands down slaps.

I got the OG and Snow Cheddar Wings and JUST WOW. PACKED with flavor, juicy and super crispy. Came with a side of rice and pickled radish. The sweet potato fries was sweet and savory, crispy with every bite.

I will have to come back with my friends and family to try their other flavor wings and dishes. Highly recommend!! KIO KFC does NOT DISAPPOINT.

The lady that works there was super kind & she gave us recommendations of things to try & brought us water while we ordered. I recommended ordering in advance 25-30 mins since the building is mostly for pick up orders & everything is made super fresh so it takes some time. The food was heavenly ! Perfectly seasoned & cooked ! She also gave us extra sides of rice when she brought out our food. She was super sweet & accommodating WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING AGAIN, THANK YOU !

You feel like you might get murdered or robbed when you first pull up but just trust the process, walk up the ramp to what looks like a warehouse and order the OG chicken sandwich and some wings, they’re some of the best in vegas hands down. Service was great too, surprisingly! i wasnt expecting any service at all but the girl working from KIO came out into the lobby and asked if we ordered KIO, we said yes and she offered water and brought out our food about 10 mind later, not a bad wait for some fresh delicious food. And she threw in some of their dusted seasoned fries for free!! just because it was our first time trying. very kind and thoughtful, and incredible food with a weird hole in the wall vibe that i love!

If you want authentic Korean fried wings, this is the spot.

Secret Spicy and Honey Butter is the way.
Chicken sandwiches and fries are on a next level.

Most people come for pick up but you can eat in the waiting area. They offer comfy dining table and chairs.

I ordered Spicy Yam Yam wings, Savory Soy Garlic wings, and Honey Butter wings. They were well-fried and had the perfect balance of salinity in the sauces. Sunny is such a kind-hearted person. I forgot to take photos of the cheese balls and potato fries, but I highly recommend trying them as a dessert after finishing the wings.

We were hungry after our event at Fremont Street so we went on Yelp and found KIO which was located 3-4 mins from us. KIO is part of a ghost kitchen so the place looked sketchy from the picture, especially late at night. We still decided to go, and got there around 1:15ish AM. The place was actually well-lit and secured behind the thick metal gates so don’t be afraid!

The owner and his girlfriend were outside when we parked. They greeted us, walked us inside, and explained the ordering process. You can order via a kiosk, directly with the owner/girlfriend, online via their website, or through food delivery apps. It does take about 20 mins to make the chicken so if you’re in a hurry, I recommend you place your order online. There are some tables inside the ghost kitchen for you to eat, but the majority of people take their orders to-go. While we were waiting for our food, we got to chat with the owner. He genuinely cares about his customers, making an effort to get to them, and is trying to build a community here. It’s clear that the owner has a deep love for the food industry, especially when it comes to chicken and strongly believes in his product.

If you order wings, the order will come with a side of pickled white radish. This is a must have (in my opinion) to balance out the savoriness of Korean fried chicken. In terms of the chicken flavor, the owner said it’s lighter than your typical Korean fried chicken. The batter is thinner so you don’t taste a lot of flour, and the wings do not taste overly greasy. The chicken is just absolutely phenomenal-crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.

KIO O.G. (Original) Wings: I thought O.G. wings would be boring with little to no seasoning but KIO proved me wrong. It’s brined with special ingredients and fried in a unique batter so that’s probably what contributed to the amazing flavor profiles. It was also the crispiest of all the wings we got. The wings come with both the KIO House and KIO Padak sauces which is nice; at other Korean restaurants, you would have to pay extra for the sauces.

KIO Honey Butter Wings: This was good but could use a bit more of the honey butter sprinkles. You can enjoy this one with additional sauces since the honey butter flavor is more on the subtle side.

KIO Savory Soy Garlic Wings: I rarely find a place that does soy garlic well so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was actually my favorite of the 3 wings I tried. Their soy garlic sauce was perfect so you don’t need any extra sauce.

KIO House Sauce: This is a sweet & garlicky aioli made with fresh garlic & ginger using a Korean chili paste. It tasted very similar to sriracha mayo and was great for dipping the fries in.

KIO KIO Sauce: This is a sweet & spicy aioli made from roasted garlic & Korean chili paste. The description sounds good, but this sauce missed the mark for me. I didn’t think it complimented the korean fried chicken or fries.

KIO Padak Sauce: This is a tangy Korean mustard sauce mixed with honey, lemon juice, and scallion and is basically a Korean version of wasabi. It’s got a nice kick to it and pairs well with the KIO O.G. wings.

KIO French Fries ($6.99): The fries came with a sauce which I think is chipotle. These were delicious and great alone or dipped in sauce. They weren’t that crispy by the time we got home, but the flavors were outstanding enough to make them taste so good still.

KIO Kimchi ($2.50): Their kimchi was just okay and fell short compared to everything else we tried. That’s not to say it was bad.

KIO Mochi Cheese Ball Doughnuts ($6.99 for 4 pieces): These doughnuts were intriguing. My palette was so confused because there were so many flavors and textures with this doughnut, but not in a bad way. The doughnuts come with a side of condensed milk which paired well together.

My husband and I are definitely rooting for this place and can’t wait to come back to try their other items!

Wish I would have taken the pics but I was too hungry. This place is AMAZING, waited inside pickup area and ordered lemon pepper, OG, and honey butter wings. Meal came with a side of rice and some spicy yam yam sauce. The employee took the time to explain the ordering process and let us know wait times and this food is worth the wait. The lemon pepper is just the right amount of lemon flavor that hits you right at the end of your bite, the honey butter melts in your mouth, and do not get me started on the wings themselves. HUGE, CRISPY, DELICIOUS. I will be coming back again

I heard this place had the best Korean Fried Chicken and I have to tell you it was absolutely delicious. I did have a hard time finding it but once I did, all good. The Kim chi, pickled dikon and rice was delicious as well. Perfect compliment to the chicken. The chicken was super fresh, tender and flavorful. Not greasy either! I’ll definitely be coming back.
