The set included premium uni giri, wagyu ribeye, premium sashimi (the toro literally melts in your mouth!), unagi, sushi rolls, soup, and a Valentine’s dessert to end the meal perfectly. Every dish was beautifully presented and truly delicious.
To make it even more special, we also received Valentine’s gifts from Kinsu — a Guylian chocolate with a beautiful crochet tulip. My daughter was extra happy because she also received Hello Kitty freebies, which made the experience even more memorable for her.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Glory for her great recommendation and to Rachana for being so attentive and accommodating throughout our dining experience.
Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!
We found it on Google and didn’t regret it for a second. The service is genuinely warm, the food is fresh, and it really feels authentic. The quality-to-price ratio is excellent, especially compared to many other nice restaurants around Abu Dhabi.
We actually liked it so much that we came back for the second time within one week
If you’re looking for trendy design, fancy lighting, and stylish interiors, this might not be your spot. But if you want honest, authentic Japanese food and lovely, friendly service, this is definitely a place to visit. Strongly recommended.
I’ve had my fair share of katsu curries in the UAE. It’s one of my fave Japanese dishes, and I can say that this one is probably one of the top on my list.
I came for an alone Saturday night dinner. The place was quiet with just another family in the resto. I ordered the chicken gyoza – which were also amazing. They were packed with 90% meat and paired with their amazing soy-citrus dip, which is the perfect blend of soy, umami, a touch of sweetness, and that zing of citrus – perfectly balanced dip.
The katsu curry smelled good as they were putting it on my table. I had to take a few hot ha-ha because it was still hot when I tried to take the first spoonful, but it was worth it. Haha! Tender beef with a crunchy panko crust. Very savory and generous curry sauce. I would definitely come back again.
Thank you for the great meal.
The food was delicious, and I was surprised (but not at all upset) by the amount of katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) there was on the takoyaki! The pot that the sencha was served in was absolutely adorable, too! Overall great value for the quality of the food and tableware.
The only (very) minor negative was that all the food was cooked and served basically at the same time, so the curry main arrived while I was still eating the starters. There was a lid on it to help it stay warm, but I’d still prefer it be delayed just a little bit.
Kinsu in Abu Dhabi truly impressed us. We visited with the whole family, our children had ramen twice, and we enjoyed sushi, and everyone was delighted.
The ramen was excellent, with a rich and aromatic broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and well balanced seasoning. The flavour was deep yet light and harmonious. You can tell that there is real craftsmanship behind every bowl.
The sushi was of outstanding quality, fresh, beautifully arranged, and perfectly balanced in taste. We especially loved how carefully each piece was presented. The combination of texture, temperature, and flavour was simply perfect.
Even the small details, such as the delicate leaves and herbs beneath the sushi, show how much care and attention go into every dish.
The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Families with children are made to feel welcome here, which is not always the case in high end restaurants.
The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a calm and pleasant evening.
Conclusion
A culinary experience of the highest level that will delight both sushi and ramen lovers alike. Kinsu is a place where quality, flavour, and hospitality come together beautifully. Highly recommended for families and food enthusiasts alike.
From the moment I walked into Kinsu Japanese Restaurant, I was impressed by the serene ambiance, tasteful decor, and warm hospitality. The atmosphere perfectly balances elegance and comfort, making it ideal for both casual lunches and special dinners.
The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavor. The sushi was fresh and masterfully prepared, with standout items like the Hamachi Tataki, Mixed Tempura, Nigiri: Otoro,Uni, Hotate Unagi, Sashimi: Salmon, Akami, Hamachi, Salmon Avocado Roll. I also highly recommend the Japanese Wagyu Ribeye Steak – tender, rich, and unforgettable.
Service was flawless. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took time to explain the menu and even offered thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences.
What truly sets Kinsu apart is its dedication to quality and detail. From the house-made sauces to the carefully curated sake list, everything felt refined and intentional.
If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine—or simply someone who appreciates high-quality food and service—Kinsu is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!
Even got complimentary miso soup and so many smiling faces!
