I just got completely RIPPED OFF! I was charged over DOUBLE for a Fish Plate and Super Beef, I had a $10 Gift Card that was MISSAPROPRIATED until just before we left, and had I personally found my Super Beef to be DISGUSTING!!

I walked in and asked for a Super Beef w/ Sauce and a couple Slices. I was told there were no slices(which was odd for 5:45pm on a Sunday..) so I was content with my $11.69 Super. My GF wanted the $12.99 Fish and Chips plate, but wasn’t sure what the fish was; so i asked if the “Fish Plate” was Haddock. BTW there is only one “Plate” named “Fish.” He said “Yes,” but then didn’t charge us for the “Fish & Chips” instead he put her order in for a $27.69 Haddock plate, which was pretty Shysty! I was asking what was in the Fish Plate, because we wanted a Fish Plate, not for any other reason!

I then handed him a $10 Uber Eats gift card. He takes the card, which clearly has Kings and $10 printed right on it. My GF hands him $27 thinking she was paying for it with a small tip. But then he said there was a balance. Not thinking of the gift card at all, which should have covered it; I thought it was a $1 or $2 I gave him my card. Then I get a notice it was charged $20. I asked my GF how much she gave him and we got so confused…

I asked him if he’d ordered me a Roast Beef “Plate” by accident? He said “Yes!” I told him I didn’t order that, but it started to explain the over charge. And if that were our only problem there I would have been Ok..

But then when we asked about what happened to the gift card he said “Oh, this needs to be used online”. Why did he not use it, explain that, and/or hand it back to me before I paid!?

A then I get home to realize not only did I not receive a Roast Beef “Plate”(as all I got was a sandwich;) but my Super was made as a three way!? I only asked for Sauce on it, all I wanted out of this situation was hot/spice Super Beef on an Onion roll!?! Adding Cheese and Mayo to a Hot Roast Beef Sandwich totally minimizes the Heat I was hungry for!! Cheese and Mayonnaise completely ruined the flavor profile of the meal I’d ordered %100!

At this point I’ve lost count of how many ways the guy behind the register got this order WRONG!!!! I’d asked for a receipt before we left and realized we were charged $45.83 total, for a one Plate, one Sandwich, and a 20oz soda!?

Had we not dealt with whoever was just behind the register, being completely incompetent, we could have placed this order online; much more accurately, with an extra soda(to meet the Min $30 to use the gift card) for a Grand Total of $20.18!! See images!!!!!!

Small inside dining, counter is great for take out. Kings is so good it’s our second time eating there in two days. Yesterday we had take out roast beef three way they were so delicious we decided to try the seafood dinners today. Again very good fresh meal. I’d recommend the onion rings too.

From the south shore. My boyfriend highly recommend the roastbeef three-way dinner. Highly disappointed. Roastbeef cold. Hardly taste the sauce and not large like another review mentioned. On top of that they charged us $6.00 more than menu (and receit) stated. Won’t be returning.

Love the service!! The guy at the desk is a really outgoing and friendly individual! Love the pizza and the specials they have, and I love how it comes out nice and hot, as well as fresh. I highly recommend it too anyone in the Salem MA area!!!

It is a hit or miss. Picture a typical Greek restaurant with everything but cooked just okay. The 3 way super beefs are very inconsistent here and if its not pink I want my money back.

Everything is usually excellent. Can’t go wrong. Pizza a bit greasy for my taste, but kids love it. Great prices.

One of the best restaurant around Danvers, Salem, Beverly and Wenham. They have great chicken wings, Broccoli and Shrimp, Beef, spaghetti,… The service is fast, clean and reliable.
I just love the place and the restaurant.

After growing up eating these roast beef sandwiches I moved out of state to find there was nothing available. FYI these are a regional item.

After craving roast beef sandwiches for years, I passed through Salem for a visit. I was going to get my share of RB so I hit all the usual spots I remember from my past, as once I leave this area they are unattainable.

By far…. Kings Roast Beef in Salem Massachusetts is the best!!! It is the only place that served an amazing roast beef sandwich the way I remembered it, the way it should be.

Great service and personality’s. Nice to see that at a mom and pop shop! But to be honest the food was underwhelming. Standard potato sticks in seasoned undercooked and soggy fries. The quesadilla was dry chicken with wads of warm cheese. No seasoning. I expected some seasoning and flavor but this tasted like a college kids go to on the George Forman grill.
