I have never had a server pay less attention to me. I sat at the bar for dinner along with one couple. The bartender spent every available minute chatting with the couple. I had to initiate every single interaction, from getting her to take my order, to refilling my tea, to getting more cocktail sauce, to ordering a second item, to paying for the check. She was not overwhelmed with work. She was mixing drinks 3′ from me while totally ignoring my empty tea glass I pushed to the edge of the bar. Not once did she step over and ask if I needed anything. Added to that, the garlic French bread that came with my garlic shrimp had been pre-made, was served at room temperature, and was so tough that I could barely pull it apart. I gave them 2 stars for the taste of the seafood, but my server could not have cared less that I was there spending my money instead of somewhere else. Somewhere else is where I’ll be from now on.

Just had the least attentive server in decades. In fact, I can’t think of a single time I’ve had to flag the server down for every single thing from initial order, to getting a drink refill, to getting more cocktail sauce, to getting the check. I had to initiate every single interaction. The server spent all of her time talking to the one other couple at the bar. The seafood was good, but the garlic French bread with the garlic shrimp was room temperature and so tough that I could barely pull it apart. It will be a long time before I give my money to people who care so little about serving me again.

Keisha was great! First time there and she was very informative about specials and favorites. Steamed oysters were perfectly prepared. She crab soup was super meaty. Great flavor. Definitely will return.

Dinner at this place is an experience. Great drinks and great food, as well as really good drinks from the bar.
We started with the calamari and had Po boys for entrée and the cups of sea crab soup. The soup was the star of the show. Waitress Jamie was funny and engaging, and a great bartender as well.

The downtown version of King’s was enjoyable. This one? Not so much. It starts with the staff, as I find they’re often uninterested in tending to my needs or checking on me. I’m also unimpressed with the quality of the food, including the dinky, lackluster oysters that they’re still charging premium prices for.

An odd little hole in the wall for such great food. Being downtown, parking is a nightmare but the food is great!
I had the oysters, which I found to be a little small, but were worth the price. The Oysters Rockefeller, however, hit on another level. They were fantastic.
The staff was super chill and attentive. A great atmosphere, albeit a little cramped.
Wife had the crab legs and couldn’t complain. Great market prices. Will definitely return.

Wonderful Experience! This eatery hits all the marks. Eclectic interior decoration, great food, fair prices, and efficient and friendly staff. There is even the option to sit outdoors for those nice days when you want to enjoy the fresh air. I imagine that once the downtown construction is complete, this place will be packed all the time. I had the seafood quesadilla which was great. The portion sizes are good and I had leftovers. Congrats to Will the owner and his staff for a job well done. Definitely a place to visit on my next trip to Winston-Salem.

When I see crab shack in the name of the restaurant I first think this place can make a crab cake. Sadly I was disappointed as it was not a lump meat crab cake but the run of the mill minced. It was cooked well and the fries were okay but for that price it should have been lumped. The oysters were delicious and the red sauce was good. I’m sure other items are great as well. Overall the staff were all very very nice and accommodating and was a chill place to eat and watch a game while having a beer.

We recently dined at Kings Crab Shack and Oyster Bar in Winston-Salem and had an outstanding experience. The king crab and snow crab were exceptionally fresh and bursting with flavor. The scallops were cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, enhancing our seafood feast.
The corn on the cob added a delightful, sweet crunch that paired well with the savory dishes. One of the highlights was the fettuccine Alfredo, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, making it a comforting addition to our meal.
The service was prompt and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Kings Crab Shack and Oyster Bar truly delivers on quality seafood and exceptional service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch seafood restaurant in Winston-Salem!

Never have eaten here before but I will every time I’m in the area. Food was not only great but the service was so friendly. Haley was our server and she went out of her way to spend time talking to our autistic son and engaging in conversation. So impressive
