King Taco in Pasadena is a local staple for a reason! It’s the perfect spot when you’re looking for authentic flavors and a convenient location. I find myself coming back here again and again for their consistent taste. If you’re looking for a casual, delicious meal with your family, I highly recommend it!

King Taco always hits the spot. The meat is super tasty and tender, and the salsas are on point every time. I love coming here because they’ve got such a good variety of meats to choose from, so it never gets boring. Don’t skip the tamales, they’re legit worth trying.

I live in the Bay Area, but anytime I’m in Los Angeles, King Taco is one of the first places I hit. It’s one of those spots I actively look forward to, and it never disappoints.

This time I kept it classic: one carne asada taco, one al pastor taco, and a carne asada burrito. Everything was solid. The carne asada had great flavor and was cooked just right—juicy, not dry. The al pastor had that slight sweetness and depth that keeps you coming back for another bite. The burrito was simple, packed, and exactly what a carne asada burrito should be.

The chili (salsa) really ties it all together—flavorful with a real kick. Spicy enough to let you know it’s there, but not overpowering. It’s the kind of salsa that makes you slow down and enjoy the food.

King Taco doesn’t try to be fancy, the restaurant is clean and simple with plastic seats, and that’s the point. It’s consistent, straightforward, and always hits. When I’m in LA, this stop is non-negotiable.

This place is definitely Top 3 King Taco spots of all time.

I come here all the time, they are not stingy with the sauce. Service is always excellent, and it’s down the street from my house.

Yes the place is also always very clean, organized, and staff members are always friendly.

Thank you for the great service!

I noticed this location and decided to come inside it was empty.

I made my order and waited, after me there was a Hispanic gentlemen that arrived and only ordered one some, which caught my eye, I was interested why would anyone just come in to get 1 some, and i was thinking is the food bad or something. The guy was wearing all black attire and seemed not interested in talking or anything.

I then was called up with my number and received the food.

As soon as I took bites of the burrito, the bite was very inconsistent. The meat felt chewy, so much that it was not a sturdy and confident bite, it was as if your eating cartilage.

The tacos were the same my family member mentioned. This restaurant is in a prime location but what i noticed that it was marinated but it still lacked the wow factor, im sure alot of people arrive to this place to feel nostalgic, but to bite your food and get chewy rubbery beef is a complete no go for us.

This has been a lesson and pretty much all the king tacos have gone down the drain.

Good luck on your visit and I hope your bite is not like ours.

Just gonna put this out there: You can’t go wrong with King Taco. This place has been one of my favorites ever since a friend introduced me to it. The tacos here are affordable yet incredibly delicious. They offer an authentic Mexican taste that’s not Americanized. The hot chili sauce packs quite a spicy punch, so keep that in mind. The salsa verde is absolutely delicious. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow due to its immense popularity, resulting in long lines that extend out the door. However, they have a spacious dining area with plenty of seating. It’s a fantastic spot to grab some food after a night of drinking in Pasadena.

The best tacos in SoCal, still and this spot definitely demonstrates that.

I just had their three taco plate twice last night. The to go one I still ate inside and even if it doesn’t look good, it’s excellent flavor, taste and quite filling. Carne asada, Al pastor, Chicharron, and carnitas were my favorite. Solid customer service and great on non busy times. Worth the wait when it is busy also.

I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items.

Burrito was perfect, flower tortilla still had loose flour, rice was cooked perfectly as well as the beans whole beans used not like other places that they use bean spread and or canned beans, meat was very juicy and tender. My Jamaica was very rich did need more water but i get it you make it that way bcus she constantly add ice. Customer service was amazing restaurant was clean the restroom fully stocked atmosphere was very inviting. Smiling faces and staff saying hello . Enough tables and chairs to sit.

First off, you can’t your order online until they open at 10am. I ordered 2 tacos as soon as they opened & the earliest to pick them up was at 10:45am (no sooner time available).
Soon as I got there, one of the ladies behind the pick up counter just looked at me, didn’t not acknowledge me. I took the initiative to tell her I’m there to pick up my order. She still ignored me. Another lady from the back finally came & I told her I’m there to pick up my order. My order was not available but an uber driver came after me got his order of 13 tacos already bagged and ready. But yet, my 2 tacos weren’t ready & they had to make it after I got there.
I was very disappointed that the tacos were hella small and the service was bad. I wouldn’t go again.
