The soup was delicious, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a casual franchise take-out spot. I was craving shrimp tacos, but the menu only had meat options. The tacos themselves were fine, but nothing special — it’s the kind of taste you can easily find at many other places.

Best menudo I ever had. It got beef stomach and foot (jokbal). As recommended by Kim Jong Kook and Choo Sung Hoon when they were in LA. Their reviews did not disappoint 🙂

Pork tamales. Meat-to-masa ratio did not disappoint either. Mild green Salsa Verde for me. I go for flavor over roasted hot pepper in the red Salsa Roja that Choo Sung Hoon liked better.

Parking lot was kinda small, but plenty of street parking. Definitely challenging to park a Cybertruck lol

Wait time was quite fast despite the long order line.

There was only 1 bathroom and it was cute.

I definitely saw 4-5 groups of K people who were influenced by KJK-CSH duo recent reviews hehe

After a fun night out in LA, my wife and I decided to stop at King Taco #1 since it had been a while. What a disappointment! The quality has really gone downhill.

Let’s start with the carne asada tacos the meat was completely tasteless, and the tortillas were even worse. They were hard, cold, and felt like they might have been from the day before. On top of that, the tortillas were noticeably smaller than your average taco tortilla.

The burrito wasn’t any better. The meat had the same lack of flavor, and the tortilla wasn’t even cooked or warmed properly. This isn’t supposed to be a wrap, it’s a burrito!

The sope was the biggest letdown. The masa tasted old or even expired, with an off flavor that made it hard to enjoy. The only decent part was the cheese and lettuce on top.

Overall, this visit sealed the deal for me. King Taco #1 used to be a solid stop, but with this kind of quality, I’m officially done with this place.

Food quality is great. Very diverse crowd. Carne Asada is cooked perfect. Like it has always been cooked! This is one thing that should Not change.

I need to warn people: the carne asada and al pastor I ordered wrecked my stomach. Within hours, I was dealing with brutal diarrhea and intense cramps. Whatever they’re doing back there, it’s clearly not working.

The meat tasted okay, but the aftermath was an absolute disaster. I don’t know if it was poorly handled, sitting out too long, or just low-quality, but something was seriously off. I’ve never had such a bad reaction from food before.

I won’t be coming back, and I strongly suggest others think twice before ordering these dishes. This was a miserable experience.

Food is not bad but for the price the portions are ok I love their Horchata and Nachos. The staff is friendly but on point to charge for every little thing. Parking is a nightmare some days others not to bad. Overall is still a good neighborhood place to visit often if you live nearby.

Came here on a Saturday morning and got the menudo and some sopes. The menudo was amazing! Full of meat and a generous portion of soup along with the limes, onion, and spices. This is one of the few locations that won’t skimp out on you or charge extra for extra salsa. The sopes were delicious and the service was great from the start. Best King Taco I’ve been too.

I love King Taco . The carne asada nachos and the tostadas were amazing . I can’t get enough of the salsa verde. Service was good and the location is well lit, clean, secure, humble, and welcoming.

The Food was delicious! My order came out quick and fresh. I had one Al Pastor Taco and one chicken and Green Chili Tamale. The Tamale was the best non-homemade I’ve ever had.
